  1. What's the old fella got then mate? VR6? And where the f*ck do you live? norn iron? WTF?! :)
  2. Just read this whole thread for the first time - how many changes since last May!!! You're even more fickle than me mate! :) Complete nutter. :) (there'll be a ferrari enzo engine in there by next week)
  3. And is it a straight swap? Anything else need changing fan-wise?
  4. Battery not a problem. But you have to change the fans? How come? And how much?
  5. How long do they take to arrive from the states then?
  6. Yeah I've got shrick 268's in at the moment mate. What cams do I need dude? Standard or 248's or something?
  7. So it would be more responsive with the short-runner intake mate? Is that cos of less volume of air to 'move around' or what? I don't understand the SR intakes at all. Did you end up getting a C2 one and a chargecooler mate?
  8. Yeah - quite a bit stiffer to be honest. You can really feel the cushioning effect with 15's. And the roll on turn-in! I think it's 'amplified' with my car as the suspension is rock hard, so the ride is very dependant on the tyres.
  9. They're really nice coilovers mate. A good balance between ride and handling, and really well made from what I saw. Mine came off pretty much as good as the day they went on. Good luck. And if you ever want to know what uncomfortable is, give me a shout. I'm often up in london and i'll stick the 17's on and take you for a drive. Fookin hell......... :)
  10. So do ya reckon leave the shrek on or what? What about selling it and getting one of those schimmel short runners for less money?
  11. And you will notice the difference between 15's and 17's with the weitecs. The fatter side walls on 15 inch tyres give much more of a cushioning effect.
  12. The ride with those weitecs and 15's on a vr is spot on. Pretty firm but not hard, and only harsh over really nasty drain covers etc. Way more comfortable than the H&R's I've got on now.
  13. Will do. I'm hoping for 'barely contained rage' tbh :)
  14. lol :) The only expensive bit you need is the bracket from what I can make out? I reckon you could get one made for about 60 or 80 quid tbh. The charger's are expensive - the only place I've seen doing them on their own are knocking them out for 1600 quid plus shipping and maybe a bit more tax! So 3300 for the whole lot with aqua and a 6-branch & redtops is pretty darn good I reckon.
  15. C30-94 (not one of them dodgy old rotrex's with the old style oil wotsit ;) ) Bracket, pulley, belt, etc etc Oil reservoir and lines All samco pipes Red tops 6-branch Recirc valve Auquamist Fitting Mapping (with MAF as he said the rotrex is too badass to go MAFless?) Anything else needed that I've forgotten.
  16. 3300 fitted and mapped, including aquamist and a 6-branch manifold. Not bad at all. This month only apparently.
  17. Well I am just about to book my car in at SD for a rotrex charger! I couldn't resist after reading all about them. Bloody good price as well this month :)
  18. lol. I'm liking the idea of the stage 2 rotrex kit at the moment mate :)
  19. Dry kit - nos added to intake and ecu adds fuel. Wet kit - the nos kit takes a seperate fuel feed itself. I think......
  20. Anyone have any experience of this? I've read a bit recently about standalone and some of them have special provision for nitrous control? And dual mapping for nitrous? Any good??? Only asking out of curiosity. Cheers
  21. You'd be suprised how good the alpine sounds when used with the proper line output on an ipod, rather than the headphone output. Which is what the fella is doing. Never thought I'd noticed the head unit contributing to brightness tbh, but I totally agree it depends what you like.
  22. Hmmm...... I know what you're saying - it's all down to the amp though really. And personal preference :)
