You should try being a man and going into an underwear shop/department to buy some frillies for the Mrs! The shop assisstants don't talk to you at all! They just look at you like you're some sort of pervert! I know exactly what you mean though. They are generally useless in parts departments. It really is painful watching them use ETKA and you invariably have to point out that they're looking at the wrong car/model/engine spec! Useless.

i reckon it needs about a 60 or 70mm drop to look spot on mate. many will disagree though. good luck with it.

it's just that decent springs alone are 120 quid or something. which doesn't leave much left for four dampers!

yeah sorry, i forgot to mention, you'd have problems without doing arch work. it's also dependant on how low you're running and how hard your suspension is.

I met someone today who'd done exactly the same thing mate! he spent 3 hours changing the passenger side bearing, and it turned out to be the driver's side one that was noisy! doh! :) they are confusing though, as the drone/sound travels throught the chassis/body of the car.

i reckon thats just not quite enough to spend mate. i would take up g-man's offer of 299 for the weitecs. excellent kit.

what car is it? if it's a vr you're pushing it. 8x17 et30 will rub at times. 9x17 definately (on a vr)

Ok I thought I'd update my experiences with the H&R RSS Clubsport coilies as i've covered a fair few miles with them now..... I changed back to 15 inch speedlines and I have to say the car feels absolutely spot on now. The suspension copes so much better with the smaller/lighter wheels and pretty much everything is transformed. I still loved it on 17s but it is way harder in terms of ride (mainly the lack of squidge in the tyres i'm guessing) and the suspension definately has a harder time coping with the 17s. And to be honest the interior of my car was literally getting shaken apart! But with the 15s on the clubsports absolutely rock in my opinion. Road-holding is epic. Turn-in isn't quite as sharp as with the 17s (tyres again) and the car moves around a bit more in fast cornering. Ride comfort is now prefectly acceptable too. Even the kids commented :) Highly recommended.
