They're shagged Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it.... They're shagged Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, Jim :)

I think they forget one rather large thing..... What about passengers? I dunno about you, but I find having a fit laydeee in the car, wearing say a short skirt, infinitely more distracting than a phone/fag(!)/choc bar, etc. Are they going to ban paaengers? I doubt it. It's all bullsh*t. It's to raise revenue through fines. Same as the rest of the gay new traffic laws.

Sums it up nicely  They can get like that when heavily modified, but standard ones are pretty robust and reliable. Thankfully only Britney sounds as lacklustre as Britney, but the VR tone never really blew my skirt up tbh. I just like the convenience of a small 3.0 V6 to bolt a turbo onto 8) True Kev, but your corrado doesn't wear a skimpy school girl outfit and put it's hair in pony tails!! Does it? :)

Yep the dealers suck and the cars are generally made of slightly soggy pasta BUT....... A quick look at this in the morning and all that is soon forgotten Mr Owl ;)

Do you ever have dreams involving your Corrado?
double-6s replied to joebloggsVR69's topic in General Car Chat
I never remember my dreams. Except about once a year i dream that i'm some sort of rambo type character and am fighting the rest of the world :) (i know, i know...... that is clear evidence of some sort of mental strangeness :) ) -
What you really need is a Shell petrol card from ya Boss. Free Optimax!! :) It makes multiple car ownership much more bearable :)

Relaibilty schmeliabilty! Don't make your decision based on reliabilty mate! I'd never have bought my alfa GTA if i listened to all the stories/rumours/whatever about reliabilty or lack thereof. I bought it because it has a stonking great V6 under the bonnet that sounds the absolute muts and goes like a scalded greyhound! I'll live with the reliabilty problem if and when it happens :) For the record, so far the reliabilty thing has indeed reared it's schmugly head a few times, but I bought from a dealer, so FREE new brakes and FREE front wishbones later all is well again :) The fact is I ALWAYS knock the crap out of my car when I drive it, so these things happen whatever make of motor I buy. I proved that with a few golfs and two rados :) Get the coupe - cracking car and fast as fek. What more do ya need?

Indeed - tbh though, I think that was one of the reasons it felt like such a lovely car - chassis not overwhelmed with power etc. Maybe more grunt would ruin it.

Kev - not only is the M3 E30 mahoosively different to the rest of the E30s (have you ever read anything on the design - it's amazing what they actually changed for the 'M') but the particular one I have driven a few times was a bit of a beastie with a few tasty (Group N) suspension mods. You're right about most of the panels being totally different - even the boot was higher, resulting in a different angle for the rear screen to alter the aerodynamics! Suspension was massively altered for the Ms too. Compared to the newer M3s and the last gen 330 coupes etc, the steering and handling was a bloomin dream :) I personally hate the steering on the last gen 3s - feels like they're pitched up in the air at the front! Yuk! But yeah the E30 M3 handles like a dream in my book - hideously under-powered for my taste, but fantasticaslly inspiring handling and road-holding.

Wait til you drive one mate. Best handling car i've ever driven. Gorgeous.

After reading this month's evo i'm beginning to agree that it's changing for the worse actually. I agree with Kev about the testing a car without actually driving it thing! Ridiculous. I have also noticed (perhaps) that they seem to be disappearing up each others aerosols a bit! Plus they still haven't sent me the prints they promised for using my alfa for a photoshoot, and I'm still 60 quid petrol money down :( Can't believe I'm posting negatively about evo mag - always loved it :( Good to see that the E30 won the M shoot out though :)

I really don't think there is such a thing as too much, even for a FWD car. I mean it's not like you (eg. Kev) have to deploy all 350 odd horses mid-corner. Even F1 cars don't do that! They use restraint! Restraint on the corners and then kick the crap out of it on the straightaways, as the yanks say :)

Nice one dude. Much appreciated. I'll give you a ring monday morning first thing mate and discuss.

I'm not at all confident I can get it off mate. I may well give up and get it towed round the corner to a garage or to g-werks where the suspension transplant is happening. Cheers for spanner offer :)
-
I have tried mate. Unfortunately it's too recessed to get even an extended ring spanner on there securely, so hitting it with a hammer just knocks it off :(
-
Can't flippin shift them :( Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Is that available from Halfrauds mate?
-
I don't follow mate? How can I remove the whole lot as it's fixed on at the top mount is it not?
-
Howdy mate :) Can't see myself getting hold of a small compressor and gun in the next few hours to be honest :( Hopefully I have enough 'chub' to simulate 2 people? :) Nice tip on the old wheel brace dude :)

Hi I am desperately trying to get the coilovers off the front of my rado. I have an alan key and 22mm spanner. Have soaked it with WD40. But I cannot loosen the nuts off however hard I try. Any tips please? I really need to get the coilies off today! Thanks

I actually like that car to be honest mate. I think it looks like a proper tool the TM. Proper wheels and everything. I pretty much hate anything else jap though.

That man is my all time motor racing hero. You can't beat a scandinavian rally driver. Funnily enough I used to drive round in a boggo 1.6 focus, and one day was coming round the back of hove and had a little laugh with a TM special (clearly he was gonna have me extremely easily!). This lorry pulled out and the muppet in the Evo displayed his complete lack of driving skills and went up the back of the schmocus. Me - one small mark/chip on bumper :) Him - totally screwed front end! :( Turned out to be the first day he'd had it on the road since having a new front end fitted after a prang!!!! lol. Muppet :)
-
Ha ha I think you could be right. Only doing it to see the expression on my sisters face next time Im following her in her 360bhp EVO TME and Im still there in the mirror  TME? Tommi Makinen?

Plenty of spare underwear? Thats gonna go like a motha funka! :)
