It sounds like the b*stard off-spring of a scooby and a VR. Quality :)

Quick update for those of you who mocked me for having faith in modern Alfa Romeos and buying a GTA.... So how has the reliability been? Hmmm...... replaced so far...... Lower wishbone Front ARB and droplinks (?) Air-con needed mending Clutch Diff Gearbox! So I admit, i've had more reliable cars. Actually not really to be fair - all my cars suffer terrible lives and then die with little or no dignity remaining. But it's not exactly a Beemer!! ;) Wouldn't dream of selling it though. It rocks :)
-
lol - i've got a 215/40/17 in my back yard that I was going to donate as well! :)
-
De-cat, miltek, 6-branch and CDA for 750 quid or so = THE BEST SOUNDING VR IN THE WORLD!! :)
-
Excellent tyres mate. I had them on the VR and they are good in the wet and dry. Can be had for bargain prices off a bloke on ebay too. Somewhere off the m20 in kent.

Well unless he signed a secrecy agreement, I reckon they'll let him live! :) -
I reckon it's either stolen, or the owner was doing something dodgy when he crashed, so now he's pretending it was stolen! ;) Someone did the same thing with a new beetle which outside my house the other day, ended up about 2 metres away from my alfa! Too close for comfort.
-
Break it :) Only kidding - I just like killing cars :)
-
To be fair, I think it may have been the thick clouds of skunk smoke that made them suspicious last time mate!! :) All good now though
-
They definately go. Vince couldn't map my rado at one stage because of a fooked ecu.
-
What you really want is this........ So fekin cool! :)
-
Welcome to the wonderful world of VR6s! One set of symptoms, four million different potential causes! :( Good luck.
-
And in theory i still have a partly shagged vr bottom end and a reasonably good head at Stealth racing still - you're also welcome to any of that for free mate. I reckon between me and Stanley that should pretty much be the whole shebang. You'd have to ask Vince though - cos I can't be a*sed! Tis free though! :)
-
Bad luck mate :( As for the insurance thing? Not a chance i'm afraid. I hate to be the bearer of bad news :(
-
Wheels look cool dude :) Nice choice. And an update on the comment below - sailed through in the Alfa last weekend and the cheese-eating surrender monkey french customs didn't bat an eyelid (luckily! ;) )
-
So how much torque do you need to 'hold the car on the clutch at junctions' then?!! :) PS. NO RICE :) PPS. Pasta is ok though ;)
-
When i was looking at recon engines Vege was by far the best solution for the money. Maybe better to spend a bit more and go for a stealth rebuild? I remember the vege rebuild was very comprehensive. Everything that should be replaced IS replaced.

Can you not get a genuine RSi body kit off VW mate? Not my cup of tea personally (the beetle) but the RSi kit is pretty tasty looking.
-
Pah. Stop being girls. Mine was dropped a good 3 inches on 15s - to avoid scraping you just need really hard suspension with no travel. You can go really low then ;)
-
No but mine alternated between pretty much exactly the same as that, and also a set of 17 inch borbets.
-
limited slip diff where can i get one from?
double-6s replied to corrado1.8t's topic in Suppliers Forum
You can get them direct from Peloquin. Google it and you'll find the site. If you email him and be nice i think there may be the possibility of some discount too? Mention the forum etc. The peloquins are supposedly a slightly improved 'copy' of the quaiffe, and come with the fitting kit included, rather than an extra over cost like with the quaiffe. -
I almost did it - ze germans took me to the cleaners though :( I tried though! (and i've got a 24v now ;) )
-

Try that pesky fuse/relay thingy on top of the fuse box mate. Mine blew that a few times. BARGAIN!!!!!! :) -
I've put 8000 miles on mine already and it's used bugger all oil. I also know of a fella with 120,000 hard miles on a 3.2 GTA engine and it's still sweet as a nut and doesn't use oil! :)
