I've never owned a G60 but I own a vr and have driven the G60. I'd say the biggest single difference is gonna be the power delivery/gearing. Even a tuned G with similar power just feels so different to a vr. Big dollops of go in each gear but a bit short-lived, whereas the vr feels sluggish at first but each gear goes on for ever and it rocks in the high-mid and top end. Both very nice but poles apart imo. As for the Audi? Don't be so gay :)

Someone selling an engine on 'the gay' but its been standing for over a year mate. I'm sure I've seen the same pic on the bay recently but can't be totally sure. I'm a bit paranoid with engines at the mo!

It'll be fine mate. I thought mine was dead but it doesn't seem to be any worse than before the 'water incedent'. Where abouts are you based mate? -
I've just put my new weitec coilies to the test and have to say i'm really impressed :) Turning into a sweeping bend/curve at 120 (I'm not lying - the Mrs was there) it was just totally flat, stable and solid. The ride is a bit 'poor' round town, but i'm more than willing to trade that for the high-speed stabilty. Really good high-speed/motorway ride quality too. Very smooth and comfortable. Grinning from ear to ear we were :)

Mine did similar recently mate. I reckon that noise is a feked water pump like NickVR6 said. I thought it was the bottom end on mine! I reckon you'll be fine :) -
Bought a stage 2 charger for the vr :) Just need an engine now.

Hi I've read something about this somewhere but can't bleedin find it, so...... Is it ok to leave a vr lump sitting around for a year or two? (dry). Will any damage have been done by the lack of use? Thanks Will

fek knows. i'm told a refund is on its way. kinda just in the process of buying a new 12v head and making an offer on a charger though, so looks like 24v idea might be off!

I know exactly what you mean mate - nice idea, but probably a boring thing to drive day in day out. Who's gonna rebuild me a 12v nice and cheaply then? The 24v obviosuly aint gonna turn up!

Oi ya fekker I AM playing nice!! :) :) :) I can shout pretty loud cos I have a huuuuuge gob :) CoxyLaad - yeah I know what you're saying. Was just getting a bit fed up listening to the 1000 new squeaks and rattles i've got since being abused by the stinking customs fellas :( I reckon it would be hard to actually get rid.

Yeah I know. Dead as a dodo. Its a bm afterall!! I hate the steering on the latest one as well. It feels like the front of the car is raised up. I'l never forget driving my mates e30 m3 though - now that has got seriously nice steering, handling, road holding.... I dunno. I love my C but .............
