  1. My LHD car has now no passenger side indicators. What could it be? The left side is just fine.
  2. not too sure about the audi handles. they would have to be matched with a set of porker mirrors then, as the mirrors and handles compliment eachother well.
  3. love em :D where did ya get em? what fuel cap mod?
  4. mmm.. the size of those swingers .... mmm ;) 50 feet women are da skeet.
  5. What would be the most special, the best looking, or stylish detail you've seen on a corrado? It doesn't have to be exterior, interior or engine bay are also welcome :D As are pictures. I would have to say kevHaywire's built-in third brake light or the smoothed rear bumper (removal of the lower line).
  6. sorry, that was a bit way over the top for my sake. great effort, and going another way than the rest of us. However, most of the people on this forum love the corrado for it's nice original lines and bodywork. You've chopped the hell out of the lines, to say the least ;)
  7. i love it. the doors are even cool, in my opinion. Something not everybody will know at first glance.
  8. if you drill a few holes around the box, and feed it cold air through ducting, you'll get more of a roar, I believe.
  9. yesterday: spent 6 hours on the exterior, cleaning and polishing main exterior parts (not under the bonnet or any unpainted black parts) and fitted new side indicators today: fitted new chrome rear hatch latch. awesome result for £5.
  10. I had the same problem. turned out, the entire loom was more butchered than a mutha ;) Let's hope this is not your problem. A simple check for if there are something inside the car draining power, is when you reconnect the positive lead to the terminal on the battery. If it sparks, there is something draining your battery even when it's off.
  11. okay, sounds like a deal then. Would I need the gearbox, or would the g60 one work? What would I do with the loom? Splice it with the corrado loom? and if so, where?
  12. hey mate, welcome to the forum. What these people don't know is not worth knowing. Post up some pictures of the current engine bay, and your new wheels :D nice to have ya with us, Stian! vi representerer norge maks ;)
  13. details details ;) I'm well chuffed after fitting a chromed latch for my rear hatch. I bet you'll be quite happy with yourself once it's all finished. How is your car looking now, by the way? Are you having any more work done to the exterior?
  14. yeah it's connected to the brake air ducting. Move it up to the air box for intake temperature instead of the uninteresting ambient temperature
  15. I'm really liking that low down grunt of a vr though. But perhaps a 1.8t would suffice. What would I need for parts then?
  16. yeah, I think all corrados got em. at least the early ones. I thought it was some kind of tool to change the time on the MFA, but it isn't.
  17. but back to the top and back to the topic. The thought of the vr6 transplant is sounding better every day. I've found a '92 vr6 for sale in germany for €3000, with a nice beige leather interior in it too. Now, if I had this one, I'd have all the bits and bobs I'd need to change it over. how many hours worth of work would it be for a guy who has done it before to do the conversion? including everything :) oh, and what more parts would I need, or should I change once I get the vr inside? I don't know the mileage yet, but when should I look for a different motor? how far can these engines go before they're not worth throwing money at anymore?
  18. today I woke up at 12, was out polishing at 14 and just came home now, at 20.00. I am exhausted, and I have wax in places wax definitely wasn't supposed to be. I still have the engine bay and interior to do, which is another two days. The result is better in real life, but here's the digital version of 6 hours of blood, sweat, and meguiars gold class. sorry I didn't get any pics from the front of the car, but that's my camera's fault rather than mine. I DID take them ;) Oh, and I fitted new side indicators today too. Nice change from the "smoked by mud and crap inside the indicator"-look
  19. I just spent the whole day polishing mine, and in no was am I even close to that finish. Crazy. One sorted g60.

    New rims!

cool. very different indeed. not sure if I like them or not. I mean it, I am not sure at all. I don't dislike them, but they're so different I need to think about it for a few minutes ;) not a bad choice though.

    motor wash

I'm gonna wash my car's motor compartment tomorrow, and I want to drive it somewhere afterwards. What do I have to do to accomplish that? What do I have to cover up, how should I wash it (by garden hose or high pressure water sprayer ? (in lack of a vocab today, sorry ;) ), and what cleaning product is the best to remove all the grime under there? :) thx for any help. oh, and sorry if this is the wrong category, but it's not really mechanical :D
  22. hehe I wasn't taking no piss, 2_Door_fun, I am just ignorant. Thx for clearing that up for me :) I'll try changing the oil first, once I get around to it.
  23. ok. so what's the spring thing on the left side then?
  24. hehe nah the engine is actually sounding great! the cambelt tensioner, is that the spring assembly by the alternator? and what is tappets? since I'm norwegian and all ;)
