  1. wow, this is gonna be explosive. Just a fun fact: there was a guy in norway, which sold his "300 bhp" corrado. His mods (and how he calculated the effect) were: - New intercooler, these give about 50-60 bhp on these cars - He's "re-done" the g-lader, so about 30-40 bhp there too - There is also a new exhaust system on the car, and combined with the k&n filter, that adds a good 20-30 bhp to the mix - steel hoses, so they won't, quote, get sucked together. - It was chipped, which he reckoned gave him 20 bhp. We even called him, and after he found out we posted the conversation on the norwegian car forum, he sent us all mad pm's, telling us how fat our mothers are, and how we're "finished" and amateurs. Even though it's in norwegian, you can see the ad here. sorry, back to topic :)
  2. I swear to god, if I got into my car now, I could drive my corrado to berlin and unveil the car myself before they will
  3. yesterday I picked up a new chrome rear vw badge, and fitted it. Quick result.
  4. oh god, can you PLEASE cut the chit chatter? :D
  5. reaper1_3, nice to hear you and your car has made up! How much will the lot cost you?

    Which seats?

I saw a car with merc seats (I think) once. Kinda cool, but not my cup of tea.
  9. starting the car usually does it for me

    Brakes

g60bv, sounds like a good solution to dirt cheap brembos. Too bad my winter wheels are 15 inchers
  11. sorry for slightly high jacking this one, but what would look nice for side repeaters on the mighty c? the originals are quite nice, but something different would be cool too.

    Electric mirrors

there's a thread about this here.
  13. it's pretty obvious how you measure it once you get out there. Try maximum diameter, that should do the trick. The original should be 78mm, but I've heard of 72mm, 68mm, 65mm and 62mm (and probably smaller too) pulley sizes.
  14. definitely different! :D looks like a lot of work
  15. cool thx! now I just need to buy em :D anyone breaking their c? ;)
  16. Bally, Lumma. For sale, too :) 16v, thanks! Although they look quite fine, the dtm's make waaay too much noise, and the underside of the car is no esthetic's dream when it comes to the exhaust system (which is a mix'n match of 2" and 2.5" tubes just stuffed into each other). A nice milltek might be the next thing coming this car's way, some time this year. chrishill, thanks, I think they light things up nicely too! I went outside yesterday as well, and did quite a few things: - modded, cleaned, polished and fitted the original air filter box with a new OEM filter in it. Looks really stunning. - Whipped the seats out for the first time, and gave the entire interior a good clean. - Found the rad cover under the seat and put it on where it is supposed to be. - Fitted a new style original 3-slat grille, and found out another reason the last owner should be publically castrated. He had cut three holes in the slam panel, so he could fit the old grille in there. Now that would've been cool, if he had just taken the time to do it nicely. Now there's a bit of rust and sharp edges down there, and I need to fix it. On the positive side, I didn't need to mod the new grille for it to fit nicely. Pics are coming soon!
  17. I'm really digging the new style fog / indicator set up, and would like something similarly looking. Now, I'm sure you've discussed this to death before, but I can't seem to find anything by searching. So I guess it can't hurt too much by asking again: How do you convert from early to late style acc. lights without changing the bumper? And what parts would I need?
  18. Did quite a few things: - washed the car thoroughly inside & out - cleansed, polished and fitted original air filter box with new OE panel air filter - refitted radiator cover (which I found under the seat) - took out the seats for the first time, and vacuumed the entire carpet, mats & seats - fitted new style grille to my old style car, and realized the old owner had cut out new holes in the slam panel. Easy fit for me, but horrible discovery. The earlier owner of this car should be beaten to death with a stick. The grille looked awesome though :)
  19. hilarious, I didn't get it at once either.
  20. mine's a quartz metallic, I THINK. I'll check the code today. In my opinion, silver rados, red rados, and every standard shade of blue and black look awesome, oh and blackberry too :D

    G60 SUPECHARGER

I'd put my money on g-werks (http://www.g-werks.co.uk) just out of what people on here have said about him, and the fact that the owner hangs around here to help people on the forum as well. edit: oh, and removing the charger yourself isn't really hard if you just dare. There's a guide on here somewhere, I think.
  22. billinjahg60, pm me your address, and you can have it for free. I hate it :/ g60greeny, from a norwegian company called volksport (http://www.volksport.no). You can have that too, I'm fitting the original air filter box again. PM me for price and all that ;) Fits nicely.
  23. Among the perfect cars of legends like triggermyson, 24v Renshaw, Blue_Joe and A20 LEE, mine must seem a little misplaced. However, I believe everybody should show off what they are proud of (penises excluded). My car's a 1989 VW Corrado G60, with 143000 miles on it from new. It still has it's original engine, with no rebuild that I know of, but with a new g-lader in 2002 and every accessory pump, control unit and whatever have been changed since 2002 as well (by the last owner). The car was imported from Germany in 2000, and has had quite a few owners since new. It was repainted by the former owner (a vw mechanic) to the original color (quartz metallic), but it was not done very well. These are the highlights: - 7.5*17" Dezent rims w/ 215/30/17 tyres - Koni adjustable dampers w/ Weitec - 60mm springs. - Strut braces front & rear - InPro rear lights - Mono wiper - All plastic color coded - chipped, 65mm pulley, twin belts on charger, rs outlet, boost return removed, minor bling items - defa alarm and after market central locking - alpine head unit, focal speakers & planet audio amp I just got the car back from my mechanic, which did a major job with the in-coupe wiring looms. There was a HKS Turbo Timer installed, but since I never saw the need for it, it was taken out and tossed away. He fitted a new fuse box to replace the old one, which had broken its mountings and was in the middle of a melt down. Basically, there was total chaos behind the dash, and he fixed it all for me. How neat. Now my aftermarket ( :( ) electrical windows work, the parking brake light isn't always on, and things just basically make more sense now. This guy also fitted a new clutch and starter motor for me a few weeks ago. I really love my car, and I hope it won't give me too much trouble in the future. But when it will, I'll ask y'all ;) :cowboy: Anyways, here are some pics of my newly washed baby!
