You Know Your Rado's Really Feked When.........
ardandy replied to double-6s's topic in General Car Chat
I had the same prob. Andy at PSI replaced my temp sensor, cleaned the breather pipes and udle control valve thingy, as well as the throttle body. I've also started using thicker oil and am going onto Silkolene Pro S next service. Mine hardly ever does it now. Check your sparks for oil. -
On a different note, I agree with A20 LEE, a V6 is a lot smoother, although dearer. Speak to Andy at PSI again and ask his opinion, I asked the same and he agree's the 2.8 24v V6 is a much better option. The 1.8T is v tuneable though!

The reason I own the car and am spending more than I should on it now is after my dad had a heart attack (ok now) he started saying 'if your going to do something, do it now because you never know!' Live life to live, not pay your mortgage off early!

5. You can get a limited mileage policy on your ins purely on the fact that you know it'll be off the road more than on! -
Well I really like it anyway!
-
Really? Tinted clear ones? Where's best for the bulbs?
-
Saw this on an auction site and thought it looks really good! Better than just polished! No idea how you'd do it though?
-
Car's going into the bodyshop on the 26th to get everything done! Just ordered my new plates, and now going to find somewhere to get some smoked side lights and a Rieger Grill! Also a few bits from VW and toying with the idea of getting some Angel Eyes now as opposed to later. Also thinking about getting some Lamin-X with a slight tint for the fogs and indicators. Heeee, it's like christmas!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Why would it accelerate slower?
-
heres where mine is, but thats because I have A/C and the condensor is infront of the radiator.
-
Does it screw up the speedo?
-
Getting this sorted on 26th when it goes into bodyshop. With the plastic corrado sill guards looking tired and worn, I was wondering what my options were? Can you still buy these from VW? (not a fan of the silver ones personally). Has anyone ever removed theres? Ah decisions decisions!
-
Here's what mines looking like at the mo. Body colour or black? Hmm? I think black would match the wipers.
-
I'm getting rid of the side strips.
-
Got a pic of your painted roof strips?
-
Hmm, could have a point.
-
Just worked out Stan that if your getting say 40 miles per tank extra, it'd would pay for itself eventually. And the grand total of miles you'd have to cover to recoup £2500 (I know its more!) is ................... 150,000 miles!!!
-
He wanted an extra £850 just to paint your A pillers and roof! Not sure about your figures... The full respray would be a windows out type of job etc. Thats where the extra comes in.
-
I was quoted £1500 for a full respray from the same guy.
-
Has anyone done this and got a pic of it, as mine's going in the body shop I'm interested as to whether it'd look good or not? I'm on about the roof trims and the plastic panel that sits underneath the windscreen wipers. Mine under the wipers need replacing due to a crack so thinking about getting it painted. Any thoughts?
-
I'm getting everything apart from the pillars and the roof resprayed, inc rust at the rear. Also getting door handles, rear num surround and rieger grill painted as well. All for £650. With a warranty so not a 'mate' and also someone with a very good rep etc. Re: the roof strips. Has anyone ever body coloured them?

corrado vr6 vs astra gte 16v vs calibra turbo
ardandy replied to spike16vgte's topic in General Car Chat
No, that can still happen in a C! -
I'm in same position, lots of stone chips, peppered if you will. The guy from chips away himself said you'd have to get a respray done, they cant get scratches and chips out but not millions of them.
-
Yep, got yours, just ben16v I haven't. One thing though, they're not very big, so if you have bigger onesthen you can send them if you want. Entirely up to you, it's your area. I'll get them up asap.
