just had the dash out to do heater motor and matrix and also to investigatea few things a now i have a sare connector and i am not sure where from . it is in the same loom as the cig lighter connector . any ideas? cheers

i always worry about the c playin up . it is a recurring problem that has started dictating the time of day i drive my c . when the car is stationary and the temp reaches 90 deg the fan kicks in and brings it down this always happens without fail its when i then start to pull away that she starts to jump a bit then cuts out . then i try to get her going again and she starts then cuts out again so i leave her for five and she starts no probs and carry on as normal . it does feel like fuel strvation but i have three quarts of a tank , any suggestions ? thanks in advance wes

that is about the fuel pump not being tilted correctly and the car not getting fuel even when it says it has a quarter tank? cheers

excellent info davidwort when doing something like this is it neccessary to increase the size of pistons and the like?

as i have just fitted the 50mm inlet will i need to sort out the air/fuel mix as the bore is bigger obviously lettin more air in? i would love to have a spae 700. quid it would definately get spent on a cnc head , best get saving

still with a g60 the clock goes to 7000 and the red starts at 6500 how will this affect the valver ?

would that mean that i have been short shifting my c as the red in the clocks i have starts at 6500rpm or is the clock just inaccurate...

what is the rev limit on a 1.8 16v as it seems since buying the car i have had g60 clocks on... thanks in advance. wes

cheers fellas , did manage to get it together although it looks as if it is too tight. the reason i say this is it looks as though it is pulling the pulley to one side , ie they dont look as if they are aligned any more.....................

also have a spare 9.5x 730 power steering belt if anyone wants it.

been tryin to sort this for a while now . valver 1.8. got a belt of stealers that was 9.5x730 that was way too big so ended up gettin a 10x617 for a passat apparently i have a passat pump on . now i have took all the bolts out so that the pump swiveled and managed to get the belt on ony no i cant get any of the bolts back in because the belt is so tight . been tryin to lever the pump out a little so i can get the tensioning bolt into place and then tighten it so i can then put the rest of the bolts back in. any ideas? thanks in advance

any one got the part nos for the brass injector holders that screw into the manifold and is there a seperate number for the plastic end that also goes in . can these be bought individually?

what is a good product to degrease the engine bay with ? just taken the intake manifold off and the crap is about half an inch thick , am gonna have to scrape it off. but what will clean it right down to the metal?

i will check the details of the van cant be bothered walking to the end of the street at the mo. not sure why 76mph though
