dont know if i should be asking this but i have a van supplied by work that i feel could perform slightly better than it does now . vehicle in question : iveco daily 2.5 16v hpi. limited to 76mph, now i do alot of driving very early in the morning through the week when there aren't many other vehicles about. is their an inexpensive , invisinble to the untrained eye mod/mods that could perk up those long journeys? thanks.

okay so recovery came and wired the car up tohis wagon using 12v and it still wouldn't go so he said he would turn it up to 18v? car started and sounded great well chuft. he then pre ceeds to rev it like a motha till i can smell burnin rubber . left for home and got half way funny noises from the engine bay and battery light comes on, steering goes mega heavy and half a tank of fuel dissapears . pulled over looked under hood and i now have no belts on alternator, power steering pump and the other pully which i think is the water pump(?) pulleys have been squeeking for two ndays . is this an easy job to sort at home or is it a garage jobbie.......... cheers folks

car wont bleedin start just had to call recovery on insurance they are on there way now to pick me up in manchester city centre . when i turn the ignition seems like there is some power from the battery because i can hear lots of clicking but nowts turnin over could this be starter motor , hope not it is only two months old from gsf.

thanks dec . i ahve reconnected them both and car running alot better the only issue now is the idle is quite high . not sure howhigh as my rev counter is redundant at the mo , will sort that asap . but do you think i just need to adjust the idle speed or could it be something else.............

so need a gasket in between top and bottom intake do we also need a gasket where the bottom intake attaches to the engine ? the other thing thats i havebeen thinkin about is what difference would gas flowin the manifold would make . where would the increase in power be if any at all ? cheers fellas

cars been running poo for the last few days . and have read a few posts in the search regarding this here are the symptoms lots of rough idling after about 45 sec after starting and lots of rabbit jumping while driving with a few pops and bangs . Had a look under the hood today and found two pipes not connected to anything they both come from the air box one from the sensor thing on the engine side of the box and the other comes off the pipe which goes into the back of the box this one looks damaged but can't see where either of them attach. i am sure that one of you c junkies will know. thanks wes hope the pics help forgot to mention its a 1.8 valver which is pre cat so i presume there is no lambda . tis seems to be a recurring problem on alot of the valvers i read about on here .

nice one chaps so what about A8 wheels 7.5x16 with an offset of 45 do i presume i would need spacers to bring the offset lower.
