No mine is a tornado red and with much use of the sissol i hope that it stays that colour and doesnt turn into a tornado pink model. Mind you it might help if i take it out of the garage now and again  as for the clothes i am happy useing the good old tried and tested yellow dusters......a million housewifes cant be wrong  -
Better replace the shockers on the drivers seat. The inspector might think that its been lowered  No worries mate it will pass with flying colours the amount of TLC you give it.

FUNKY has hut the nail on the head with the BELGUM ALU it is top stuff to use on any type of polishing. :) If you do look at polishing them yourself buy all the parts ,mops ,polishes etc from the biggest polishing shop in the uk.....CETEM. :D By the way if you do get them polished you wont have any finger tips left trying to keep them clean & shiny.

Right thats me spent 2 days polishing my car with swissol products and it looks the dogs danglies. :D The swissol was brilliant to use, and the wax comes off very easily not like the zymol i have used in the past, even when the sun came belting out. Must admit that you must have an excess of polishing cloths handy as it wont come off if the cloth is even slightly dirty, but it is a small price to pay for an excellent product. Many thanks for the excellent delivery and aftersales service John. :D -
Being a biker i have tried all the engine cleaners out there and as paulg40 said Gunk is very good but smells for ages and it will even stink up your clothes and hands for ages.It will also stain the floor you are working on. Jizer is as good but doesnt smell or stain as much. But what ever you use get in with a brush and give it all a good scrubbing. But when you are finished do all the electrics with a WD40 type product. Then spray the whole lot with a protectant likeSCOTTOILER FS 365. :D It protects against all corrosion and rust. I have seen many bikes gone through winter and come out still mint in the spring time. The good thing about these products is that once you have given the car a good thrashing the smell they give off is oustanding mmmmm. :D

Dont worry mate,as your in Scotland you will get plenty of time to try it oot.

No matter what you do to the car the smile factor will never be the same as the bike. Dont get me wrong i love the car but people notice i am a better person when i have the bike around. I give my older brother a shootie now and again of my bike (R1) and hes always bouncing for days after it. :D :D  :bounce2: But as G60 said it`s in the luck of the gods and i have too lost many biking mates and have been there to pick up the wrecks(used to work in a bike shop). But many guys have it in there blood and just cant give it up......must be like a drug  Heres a idea why dont you buy yourself a mini-moto and still get the biking buzz but still have that limit of safety. Once you have stuck in that supercharger you can stick the mini-moto in the boot and get 2 for the price of 1.

If your car is as good as you state, dont waste any more money on it. The main question is can you afford the running costs of the two vehicles? Running a bike aint cheap nowadays(not like when i wiz a lad  ) even a small bike still requires a lot more attention than a car. But getting on a bike will improve your car skills 4 fold, but you will still use the car to have a good blat about in. Have you got enough sense to ride the bike and not just flat out everywhere because it will not be as forgiving as a car and ending up wrapped around a lamp post or stranded in a ditch in the middle of nowhere is not much fun. The end of the day i would say get the bike but get your self onto a bikesafe course and really enjoy the benafits of the bike. Have you tried insurance quotes for one too. Try H&R insurance if you are just starting out as they take into consideration your cars no claims. :D The burd will love you even more once she has been out for a run aswell  :D

Yeh Ha......yer on the right road now mate :D Any sign of those wheels yet? :)

HEHEHE  If you guys had bought the UMBRELLO product that is on offer here you wouldnt have a problem to start with. :D

When you get to Roddy`s age you will save a packet  If they will accept you because of your age i would try BELL DIRECT 0800 140 180. All the guys i have passed this onto have saved a fortune, and i have been with them for 5 years now and that must say something if they can keep beating everybody elses quotes. Also try H&R in Aberdeen.

Ah but remember to take the wheels off to clean them as well. :D I spend so long cleaning my car that the neighbours are starting to call me monica(friends) Used to swear on Autoglym, but have just ordered some swissol, so it looks like the neighbours will have some entertainment when i get to polish the car when it comes. I should buy shares in the water company as i spend a day cleaning the bike aswell
-
What you take yor cars out in the RAIN  Rodders, you are on first name terms with the ladies of that garage. They even have a resevered sign just for you

While we are on the subject, does anybody know the PCD and the offset for a G60. And is there any other make of car that has the same wheel fitment

Looking at your C's reflection while driving...

Guilty as charged ma Lud. :D My bro tried it on his bike when was young. Same place every morning and way home from work,Big supermarket window. Till one day the car in front of him stopped and then so did he suddenly.....Whack....right into the back of it.. never did it again though. -
I have used the proper caliper paint and you can do in situ. The kit comes with caliper cleaner but i still advise giving them a clean up with a wire brush. And as was said before you hardly notice all the hard work once you put the wheel back on,but it is still worth the effort. :D Get some picks on when yer finished, and when youve scrapped all yer knuckles
-
Yeh that sounds about right. If you want to PM me or give me a number to phone i will give ya shout on the way down the road. :D
