Welcome to the forum, looking forward to see the pictures.

Thanks for clearing it all up for me, just hope I can get the bolts off now.

I want to remove my front bumper this weekend hopefully, to see if can get to fit better on the passenger side as the gap doesn’t look right. I have looked at the guide bellow from the CCOC http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9393 But I just need some reassurance from anyone who has done it before. 1. Once I put the trolley jack under the engine carrier, I guess somewhere near the front engine mount. Is it okay to jack the car up one here, so that I can get my axle stands in. 2. Do I place the axle stand on either side of the engine carrier and lower the trolley jack, so the car is resting on the axle stands. 3. Once I remove the 2 bolts on each side of the engine carrier, should the bumper just come away. P.S. Sorry if its been asked before.

Thanks for the positive comments, yes it has had some paint in its life. Some areas are not so clever, and will need looking into at some point. Not sure if the bonnet and grill has been changed, but i like it makes it look a bit more modern.

Thanks Jim, what I meant was the corrado G60 was the only car that was a RHD version sold in the UK by the dealers. All the other versions were sold in Germany or where ever bought back to the UK. The cars got 130k on it, and only has 2 previous owners.

So i sold the VR6 Highline after 8 1/2 years of ownership, to fella from Shetland Island just after Xmas last year. Didn't really know what to get as replacement, fancied a MK4 R32 at first. But after some thinking, decided to get something older as i can always pick up an R32 later as there are plenty about. Looked at some BMW E30 Sports, but couldn't really find a decent example that were in standard factory condition. So after chatting with a few mates, decided to go for a Corrado. Didn't want a VR6 as I already had a Golf VR6, and even though the driving experience is totally different in the rado just didn't fancy one. I wanted something more exclusive so went on the look for a nice standard G60, as this engine was only available in RHD in this model i think. So after some searching, saw this motor on gumtree. So after some chatting and and exchanging emails, caught the train to Reading for proper look and to make sure the car was described. Which it was, so did the bank transfer and started my 270mile journey home. Leaving Toddigton Leicester Forest Tibshelf Home Great drive and no drama. Had a little time the other day so gave it a quick clean. Just need to get the charger rebuilt, and have the wheels refurbished for now and then maybe decide next year what to do with it.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I am also local and new member, just bought my first corrado G60. Only had it a few days, and loving every minute of it so far. Hopefully should also be at elsecar. Maybe we can all meet up before, for the drive down.

There might be a screwed collar at the bottom of the gear knob, and then probably some small allen key screws holding the actual knob on. Try posting a picture of knob, if the above is not correct.

Well after the 6hour drive she is finally home and tucked away in the garage for the night. Took it nice and steady, and there were no issues at all. Well happy, thanks for everyone's help and input.

Done the VR6 thing already, need to do the G60 things whilst they are still about

Thanks everyone. I will take the risk and drive it back, wish me luck. Will post some pictures when and if i have it at home this weekend

Car is running a standard pulley so all stock. So am i correct in saying that if the worst happens and the charger pops, i will have to pay around £1300 for new one. Can assume there will be no damage to the rest of the engine. I really want to look at it, and make sure its all right.

I just want it to make the journey home, will have it rebuilt after that. What's the worse that can happen if it goes pop, is it just a case of getting a new charger. I've got breakdown cover, so not sure if i could just take something off and get them two me home. I know it's not right, just an idea.

It's done about 125k

Hi everyone, I am hopefully to go look and buy a Corrado G60, this weekend. The car in question is about 400 miles away, round trip from my home. The problem is the supercharger has never had a rebuild, but all the belts have been changed and its had regular oil changes. Do you guys think it might be risky, for the charger to go on the trip home. And what advice could you give so it doesn't. I will have the charger rebuilt once I get the car home.

Can somebody please explain to me what a stage 3 charger consists of on a G60, please. Also would it be possible to convert this back to a stock charger? Thanks

You missed the 'g' from your email address, it should be with you now

Not sure why that would be, let me know if you haven't still received it by tonight and i will try and send it from home.
-
Sent it to you via email, i tried PM you but not sure if it worked due to my low post count. But i have been lurking this place for around 7 years
-
I would post it it on here, but in not sure how to as i did it on power point. Please feel free to post it here when i send you it.

I'm in the process of repairing mine at the moment, so I've made a simpler diagram. To understand what all the wires do, i can email it to you if you think it might help you.

Hi there, I don't have a Corrado, but i have Mk3 Golf VR6, so not sure if this will be exactly the same but the principal should be. This is for a MK3 Golf, On the connector that goes to the actual seat, there are 4 contacts, 1 to 4. 4 - GND 3 - SW+ via ignition 1 and 2 - is like a variable resistor, so if you put your meter on Ohms and put you meter probes across pins 1 and 2. You should see the resistance change when you move the heated seat dial from 1 to 5 Hope that makes sense
