  1. Cool, if you can email me some pictures as per my PM. We can take it from there.
  2. As far as i know, its the heat shields are not model related. But rather early or late bonnet related. If you look under your bonnet and just compare it to the ones that have been pictured in this thread. Will tell you which one you need.
  3. Collected mine today from the post office, thanks for making this happen. Maybe we should do a group buy, for the 3M contact adhesive?
  4. Is the item bellow still available, BBM RSR charger outlet ( with red hose) £125
  5. I am wanting to replace the standard plastic silencer for an RSR outlet type. One of the reason for this to hopefully get a bit more noise from the charger as well having a better piece of kit then the factory one. My problem is which one to go for BBM or the Bar-Tek one, has anyone had any experience with the 2 outlets? P.S. if anyone has second hand one they want to get rid of please let me know.
  6. Are these from the same supplier as bellow, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MK2-MK3-GOLF-CORRADO-MIRROR-STAINLESS-STEEL-GOLF-TANK-STRAPS-/230961602458?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&clk_rvr_id=480634718324&hash=item35c6625f9a&nma=true&si=oFkTzWSbZAsAwsiaRCEoP3ZSyOc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 I would be interested in the group buy, if they were discounted in some way.
  7. I bought a new relay from VW for £27, will dig the part number for you if you want.
  8. I think the spoiler blowing its fuse is another problem, but to rule it out for sure. Would be to disconnect it from the electrical connector at the rear. Fit a good 15A fuse and take it for a drive, to see if its still blowing the fuse. If the fuse doesn't blow at all, might be time to regrease the rear spoiler mechanism.
  9. Have you checked if there is 12V at the horn, when you press the switch? If there is not 12V there, you will need to measure the voltage between a good ground and one of the terminals on the horn connector. You could try and put 12V directly to the horns, to check if they are working okay. Are you using a standard steering wheel, or after market one?
  10. If its the relay, you might want to update it by fitting one of those programmable wiper relays. So that you can change timing of the intermittent wipe, a very useful feature and its just a plug and play mod. I have a standard working relay, if you need it.
  11. This is excellent news, hope you guys the best for the future
  12. A little update, My rear spoiler kept blowing the fuse every now and then when it was going up or down. So thought it was time to re grease the all the mechanism, there isn't any way to do the job properly with out taking it all apart. I believe the main the problem lies with the tubes that cables go through to raise ant retract the spoiler. Didn't relay take any pictures, just some for reference so I could put it back together in the same way it came out. Which i recommend you do, if you ever tackle this job. Its not a difficult job and if you take your time you should be fine. Lucky for me, everything came apart and went back with breaking anything, which was the best. The next job i have done was to recover the gear which i was really impressed with. I already had bought a new item, from VW but saw this cover on ebay for a £5 and thought why not have a go and see what happens. This is the old gear knob, you can see the wear at the bottom which was letting the interior down no end. Its good idea to place some masking tape at the bottom of the gear knob, so you mark which is the top and bottom. I also marked where the the stitching was going, but its not necessary. First this was to remove the plastic from the top, this was gently prised off with a small screwdriver. Next was to lift the leather wear it had been folded at the bottom and the top, you also want to remove the metal plate from the top and plastic ring from the bottom After some pushing and shoving, you should be able to get the old leather off. Its not not stuck down or anything. You then need to fit you gear knob through the top of your new leather cover, Make you sure you align your stitching with the slotted groves on the gear knob. When it got to the bulged part the knob, i applied some silicone oil to give it some lube. So that it could slip over a little easier. I also applied a little thin piece of foam, under the shift patter as the old sponge hard warn away. This is needed to give it that little lift, otherwise it sits few mm to low. Here are the final results. And the new one, probably keep this. After some
  13. After the initial 6 months lease there is no need to renew the lease, if you are keeping the same tenants. As it just goes on to a rolling month. Where the tenants have to give you months notice if they decide to leave. Or you have to give them 2 months notice if you want them to leave. But just read your agreement, to make they haven't done anything they shouldn't have.
  14. If you are going to manage the property yourself, you should be able to tell you agent this and take on the management immediately. You would have have already paid the agency the tenant find fee, as they usually take it form the first months rent. You can keep the deposit with the agency as they are meant to put it into TDS scheme. So both parties are protected. You can also print all the forms off from the website bellow. https://www.propertyhawk.co.uk/LogonForm.aspx There is a lot of useful info on there.
  15. Hi Kip, Yes will be meeting you guys hopefully at Trowell Services for 6.45. If thats okay, i will PM you my number. ---------- Post added at 2:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:38 PM ---------- Guildmage, Do you fancy meeting at Wooley Edge or Woodhall services?
  16. To align properly you will need to take the whole front bumper off, and mess about with the fixings on the back of the bumper. But this will only give you lift or drop from the front, if you want to lift the sides up you will have to remove the hangers from the side and elongate the holes to give it lift. As there is no adjustment on them and then you will have to fabricate so you can secure the hangers. Took me a weekend to get mine sitting right.
  17. Cheers, will give the dealers a call to see if its still available. Who is Pat_Mcrotch, is he a member on here?
