  1. Don't think my problem is a simple as that. My problem is that brown/red wire on the cars ISO connector is meant to be switched positive, but its not switching with the key out. It's 12v all the time.
  2. Just wired in my Alipine head unit, and I can't get it turn off completely when the ignition is turned off. Which means my iPod is constantly on. I've metered the ISO connector on the car, and there doesn't seem to be switched positive. Is this normal, or could it be that there is something wrong with wiring loom.
  3. Dam, wanted that gear knob as well. Snooze you lose. Could you do me favour if it has sold, and post the part number so i can see about getting one from the dealers.
  4. I'm not sure if its exactly the same, but the MK3 Golf and 6n Polo handbrake is very similar to that. So you should be able to get that part of those, if you can't get it off another corrado.
  5. What you need to do is, pull the plastic cover a little to the back first. Then you should be able to see a small tab on the leather handle, just push the tap up and pull the leather handle off. You can then remove the plastic cover off in the direction, its a sort of one piece item with a hole going through it. You might have to squash it with you hands to make the opening bigger. Well this is how it is on my G60, not sure if its different on the later models cant see it me self.
  6. Post a picture up of the bulb and the holder that it sits in, might have to adapt it for a newer type bulb.
  7. so have you managed to get the hand brake cover off then?
  8. Pete, how does it sit with console off looks wrong to me the way it in the picture and your console doesn't seem to be fitted correctly. ---------- Post added at 12:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:42 PM ---------- Also check that the 2 bolts underneath are tight, and the bracket is not bent.

    Fuse box clips

I've seen the cage nut fix, but that looks nasty. Jim, if you can remember any details on what other clips that might have been used would be a great help. Im sick of the cover not sitting in place.

    Fuse box clips

    Anyone....help...please
  12. Hi will the exhaust fit a G60? Or do you have part number for it so I can check myself. Also could offer postage if it does fit.
  13. Think this thread was answered by to many VR owners. Lol The G60 charger isn't going to go pop every time you turn the key, it's how you drive it that makes it goes pop. If its a well looked after G60, and you let it all warm up correctly. It will be fine. If you do go looking for a G60, try and find a standard. Not one with extra gauges and wot nots fitted, unless of course that's what your after.
  14. Thanks Owen, I would have done what you said. But as its a G60, it's not that easy to get to the bolts as the back because of the ISV. I tightened up as far I thought was tight enough, been on a bit of drive and all seems well and dry so far. So that's another job to tick of the corrado to do list, lol. But I don't think list will ever end.
  15. What year is the corrado, that you want to view? As I would have thought only the corrados from 93 will have factory immobiliser, but please don't quote me on this. Mine is 92, and it doesn't have a factory immobiliser.

    Fuse box clips

Right, I think I might be asking for the wrong things. I want the square black clips, that hold the cover, if you know what I mean. Might have to post a picture up so its clearer.

    Fuel filter

You could just buy both, and then take the wrong one back. Just make sure hands are clean when you compare them with the one on the car.
  20. Well got 2 gaskets, one from GSF which was the Victor Reinz one and one from AVS which was the Erling one. Both gaskets look pretty similar, but the Erling one has bits going around the sides. Just like the one I took off, so fitted that one. So a word of advice, if anyone is ever changing the rocker cover gasket on G60. Is to try and buy an Erling one, as they look more like the original one. Does anyone know the torque setting for the rocker cover bolts?

    Fuel filter

Just checked on AVS, and the filters for the golf VR6 and the corrado VR6 are the same part numbers. So I would have thought you shouldn't have a problem, as long as you get VR6 fuel filter. http://www.vwspares.co.uk/g3filters.php By the way, AVS is great company to deal with.
  22. In my g60 it's about high as the hose, in your pic. Don't you have the old broken one to measure against the new, to check its length is correct and also if the stop on the plastic is at the same level.
  23. Great, will buy some clips tomorrow. The rubber pipe between the ISV and the manifold, already had jubilee clip on it. But I still couldn't get that small pipe off the manifold. So I've sprayed some wd40 and will try ad get it off again, but the pipe looks intact at the moment. Will see about replacing it with some silicone pipe if it gets damaged. Some of the bolts on the rocker cover were very loose, is that normal due to vibration. As I don't think the cover has been off before.
  24. I'm replacing my rocker cover gasket on my G60. Obviously I need to remove the ISV to access some the of the rocker cover bolts. But what I want to know is once I've removed the stupid VW clips off the ISV, do you guys recommend re using them. Or replacing them with some jubilee clips.
  25. What make are the HT leads, and how old are they. Would also like the RSR kit, if it hasn't been sold already.
