  1. Yeah I know that, its just that so far only one person has expressed any interest on CCOGB. Was just wondering if anyone else was attending from this forum that who is not on CCOGB.
  2. Do I detect a bit of sarcasm? Its only £12.50 if you buy in advance, its £15.00 if you buy it on the gate.
  3. If its not for practicality reasons, I would be looking for late Corrado VR6. As has been said above slightly more power, and better handling in the Corrado then the Golf. Plus the Corrado looks more classic then golf.
  4. Is anyone from here going to this? Doesn't seem to be much interest on CCOGB, was just wondering if we will be having a club stand at this event?
  5. No worries mate, if you do decide to sell let me know. I haven't tried VW Heritage, but will give them a call in the morning.
  6. So after i re trimmed the gear knob, and fitted it to the car. The gaiter and the handbrake were looking a bit tired, so these got re trimmed treatment as well. Also decided to replace the rubbers on all the pedals and also add one to the accelerator pedal, as to me it looked kind of cheap in the bare metal. My next problem was to find a solution for the rear VW badge, as I had already replaced the front one with a nice shiny genuine badge. Felt the rear one was letting the back end down big time. As these are only available in black from classic parts, I had to improvise with a Golf Mk3 rear badge. I bought a brand new genuine badge, but the problem with it was that its angled from the back where as the Corrado one is flat. So I got a friend at work to mill the back of the new VW badge down. After a few trips taking it home to trial fitting and then back to work for some more milling, I think the final result isn't to bad. Before Off New clips were fitted before fitting the new badge. I think you can tell its not the original, but it does look better then the worn tired one. ---------- Post added at 8:52 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:11 AM ----------
  7. I went up on Saturday with the part number, but they said its not available. Unless he was fobbing me off. Do you know if this part number is correct? 535 853 307A If you could have a look it would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Hi, I am after the piece of the trim that goes across at the top of windscreen, seem that mine is missing after fitting the rubber seal. the part I am after is marked in yellow in this picture.
  9. Got my plates from DMB on Friday, they gave a great service and the plates look excellent. My corrado was original from Quicks of Oldbury, any others from there?
  10. Access to the union doesn't look great, Ive taken the drivers side headlight out. But its still looking awkward to get to. Would it be possible to pull the pipe of the union do you think?
  11. Can somebody please help, My engine seems wet around the oil return pipe going in to the block. It's not loads just getting the odd patch on the floor now then. Does this pipe, just pull off from the block end and are they still available from dealers.
  12. Thanks Jason. No longer required people.
  13. If its good condition, I'll have it please. Sent you PM regarding payment
  14. I'm after the trim that goes around the front windscreen like a goal post. Also not sure if this will just come out by itself.
  15. Understand, But if you do decide to make them, think there would be a lot of interest.
  16. Good idea, but on a another note what would the possibles of getting the rear 'VW' badge made in chrome?
  17. This could have been me if it was around 4:30pm
  18. Are you running an Ipod off the head unit? You might be having a similar problem that I had when I fitted my Alpine head unit, where the head unit would not switch off when the key was out. The ipod was on continues charge even with the face off. My problem was due to not having a switched positive on the radio wiring, which turned out to be faulty ignition switch. Disconnect the plug from back of the radio, and see if you still have drain on the battery. ---------- Post added at 10:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:47 AM ---------- Also have a look at previous thread about the switched positive issue. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?80372-Switched-positive/page1
  19. The illuminated Karmann badge is quite cool, can you please explain how you did this.
  20. Does your radio switch itself off when you take the key out.
  21. Thanks for that Jim, didnt fancy taking the bonnet off. Looks like you've done a nice clean job. So did you just spray the glue onto the back of the new foam, and not the bonnet as well?
  22. Not sure if its been asked already, but after the recent GB on bonnet insulation was wondering if people have theirs yet and how they went about it. Also if anyone had some handy tips? Have people removed the bonnet to fit them?
  23. Are these wheels on the Corrado or Passat? I would just ring them up and tell them the situation, also explain that you have not been using either car much and you only noticed when you washed the car that 2 of the tyres are different. Don't say anything about how many miles you have done or anything, unless they ask. At the end of the day, if you pay for an item you should get that item only. They shouldn't give you anything else without your consent first. I'll give my mate a call who works at kwik-fit, and see what he has to say.
  24. Is anyone using any of the 2 kits on there G60?
  25. These look fantastic. Do i need to email the company as to what i want, to get a set made up? Or are they going to start listing them on there website?
