That sounds more like ignition than fueling? But I'm not that familiar with the 16v, does it have dizzy and leads still??

I'm about to give MegaSquirt a try on my VR, which will be going turbo in the near future. All the bits are ordered and I'm just waiting for them to be delivered from the States. The full kit of bits (that you assemble yourself, but you can get ready built for a bit more) works out about £250. Thats for the v3 mainboard latest processor, dual map sensor, EGT, the simulator board for bench testing, the lot. But it will need fitting and setting up after that. The only thing I've found so far that it doesn't do yet is sequential injection (ie pulse each injector separately). It's being done but not finished yet. This will be in the form of an add-on board for the existing system, so a retrofit should be OK. It's amazing value..... but only if it works. I've read up loads on various sites about different projects and, on the whole it all seems positive. Maybe a bit tricky to get going with the 60-2 wheel on the VR but I found a few that have done it. When I get my kit I'll start a writeup on progress install etc etc. Somebody recently recommended MBE for my project. That looks very good, but starts at about £700 plus fitting and setup etc. So quite a big jump.

Mmmm, I guess the only real way to find out is to try one. I'm assuming that the front sections are steel then, and only the rear box is ss? What's the best place to get one and how much am I looking at approx?

Would you say the SuperSprint is quieter than standard?

I'm looking to put a new exhaust on my VR (OE is still one at the minute with all the ends of the silencers hanging down!), and I think I'm down to three. Supersprint, Jetex or Magnex? Now I have had some bad experience with Supersprint but this was years ago on a Mk1 Golf GTI which was eventually cured by putting it in the bin and fitting a Jetex. Mk1s have the same kind of problems with exhaust as the C (If they don't fit right they knock on the rear beam!). Reading this thread quite a lot of people go for Magnex, but some find them a bit noisy. So do I just go for Jetex again. Has anybody got one on here?

Me too! But I am a little biased. Was is just the Storm available in Classic Green Pearl. I've checked the paint code in the boot and that's what mine is but it isn't a Storm.
