-
yeah it was supposed to be down there this week so he could sort out an R1 rebuild, rsr oulet, 65mm toothed pulley set up, red tops, sns chip, ally boost hoses, and a good look over. just wanted to check if it was running low boost before it goes down and to see what its like when it comes back. (ROLL ON SATURDAY!!)
-
so that must mean its low then!

ok i took my G60 out for a nice run today and thought id check the boost reading on the MFA and at 6300rpm (which i didnt like doing!) the figure i got was 1810. question is: is this a good reading for a car with the following mods?? Jabba stage 4 with 68mm pulley(32k since last rebuild) jabba chip flowed inlet manifold flowed exhaust manifold flowed head full powerflow exhuast boost return kit induction kit. just interested as i want to compare the reults before and after i take it down to darren next week!! yipee!

from what i see most people like the vr6! but then again most of them havent driven a G60 ! so arent they just a little bit curious as to what it feels like ? ive driven in most (2.0 16v, G60, and VR6), and while the 16v is revvy nippy (sort of thing) and the VR has a nice soundtrack, the G60 is the one for me, nice sound and nippy too, put it in 4th at 2k and floor it! it just seems to build and build, until you are hunched over in the crack of your seat ! -
broke my cable too ! ive got a one piece grille and headlight spoiler with flexi tabs at the bottom so i can just pull the grille out and reach up inside and pull the cable!!

i had this problem too, got some switching relays but must be the wrong ones. can anyone one point me to a link that shows some good quality ones ? waterproof sounds good.

same stuff.

ok got my porsche wheels, from a 928 s4, but now i need some centre caps for them. any ideas which ones will fit. they are off to be poliched soon so need them to go with the wheels. links to ebay if you can too...

ok guys thanks for the info, decided to get some weitecs from darren!
-
yeah i do have a budget unfortunatly, was going to go down to g-werks and go for a few saucy items and get my charger done, but went for an MOT last week and i had a precautionary on slightly worn shocks, and they are only crappy shocks and springs so i want something posh and that i can change around when i go from 16's to 17's and back again ! and i dont want something thats going to rust so konigsports or weitecs sound good. i suppose it comes down to ride comfort then. any ideas which are harder ? obviously depends on wheel and tyres but i dont want something that will shake my teeth out on surreys roads (potholes etc!)

right got an easy one for you! due to the fact im going to be using differnt wheels throughout the year (different sizes) i need a set of coilovers so i can adjust the height got about £500 what do you recommend ? can get em fitted for free as my missus dad owns his own garage ! any recommendations ?

yeah thats the ones, i saw a set on ebay a while back and keep kicking myself that i didnt buy them ! wanna pm me a price darren ?

has anyone got any pics of some polished porsche silver rose alloys? want to have a look as i dont know whether to go for the usual design 90's or be a bit different and go for silver rose's ? oh yeah what about BBS design 5000's ? pics please, :D

fuse's are all intact, on the loom and in the fusebox, true i may not have refitted the loom correctly, anyone have instructions or tell me how to fit it just to make sure, checked the uprated loom thread on the forum but still a bit confused. instructions please ?
-
about a week agao my uprated loom (which i got from this forum) stopped working. well didnt stop working it malfuctioned ! i was diving along and go to switch from dipped to full beam and there was nothing, complete darkness- not good at 60mph so switched back to dipped beam, which still worked. ive had a fiddle with it today, by taking the loom off and putting it back to standard vw- all works fine. put the uprated loom back on with new relays, fuses etc and i only have FULL BEAM even when i flick the stalk between full and dipped beam, there is no difference it just stays on full beam. now question is, could a possibility be that if the battery was losing its charge (as it did- 40 minutes of fiddling with the lights and the battery was flat) mean that there isnt enough guts for the battery to switch the relay ? or could there be another reason ? all relays are brand new HELP ME PLEASE, I NEED LIGHT !

Expected power with these mods to a VR6 ?
G60SC_Stoney replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Engine Bay
someone i know has a mk3 supercharged VR6 racer with loads of bits on (only 3ltr) and that puts out nearly 350bhp, he used to take it racing around goodwood race track and beat a lot of other stuff, like jaguar XKR's that were all tuned up, he's breaking it now, so he can buy a new Mk5 racer for the volkswagen cup, ill see if anythings still available if you want ?
