  2. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ClarksonMP/#detail:drive:
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Extended-wheel-st ... dZViewItem These were the sort of thing I was originally thinking about IMHO I'd feel safer with flanged studs rather than "Loctite" studs... Wonder if he'll do 12x1.5?
  4. Love those Safe French ;) Yeah strange I can remember where I was for this too (at a show up at Avon Park) couldn't believe it... A great loss...
  5. It's a locating bar (basically a long stud..) That's what's happened to mine both have sheared... Plus it makes changing a flat a doddle rather than having to balace a wheel on your best Suit/Jeans at the road-side....
  6. Had the same thing in my Splittie heading to the back of a queue at the M4/5 interchange... Thank god for empty breakdown lanes.. managed to pump up some pressure and stop but only after I'd shot past a line of traffic.. bet they all thought "what's he up to? Queue jumping?" Mind you made it all the way to Newquay and back, was a lot more (even more than usual on non servo brakes) careful after that.... Turned out to be Master Cylinder seal had gone...
  7. Jeeps matey glad you're ok... So pedal to the floor? or just did nothing when you stamped on it?
  8. Any-one know if Rados run M12x1.5? If so these would be very handy... STUDS
  9. Any one know what those wheels are? Look like modern Porsche Gas Burners... Jim if you remember to 'shop this can you do them with black low/ polished highlights? Like to see how they come out...
  10. Yup apparently...... only did it once when I'd run out of blacking stuff but does work... Not sure if you need chunky to help scrub off the green though..
  11. Peanut butter and a toothbrush.... I kid you not!
  12. erm Mk1 1.3 C should be your next buy! So what did you buy after the VR?
  13. Well HE managed to make it to the Cambs meet... unlike some-one I won't mention
  14. Anyone else thinking toothless granny?
  15. Phil, message from the MK1 forum, you need to sort out that short wooden leg of yours, it spoils the angle of some of your photos..
  16. Got any pics of the mudflaps? Sure someone on here was looking for a set?
  17. LOL - I think it's Nigel who holds the record for selling - £33 for a pair on eBay which was 10 times the VW price at the time... I bought those... I'll be expecting a refund in the post or I'll set my pet Therapor on ya!
  18. Mate I wouldn't Touch them with TOADS by all means buy stuff but don't get them to fit.. anything.. I've re-fitted my stereo (got them to fit at same time as the alarm) so it actually goes in the dash and they bodged that so I have no memory function (have to do a wire swop)...
  19. Cheers NickRStorm They were the ones who told me it was fitted wrong! have used them in the past for stereos and should have gone back but (unfortunately) another Rado owner had recommended CCA!
  20. Ok Its 18mths since they fitted my Clifford alarm and I have used it properly about 4 times and each time it goes off! The Bonnet pin's dead (and probably has been since the start) and the volumetric sensor doesn't want to work either (fitted under the rear ashtray, which I've been told by another Clifford fitter is completely the wrong place). Am going to get it "serviced" soon but need a reputable Co in Herts/Essex... any suggestions?
  21. Does this work for all? Would liek to see what the Clipper was ordered with as well...
  22. Yup the accountants at VW really got their bit in there... IIRC the wiring's there so you just need to get a LHD inner cluster with the correct "Gubbins".... I know we don't see it when driving but looks "Cheap" to only have 1 fog light...
  23. You do know that Rado's only have one rear fog? This should be the Drivers side.. The other's not connected (think you need a LHD innder cluster to get two)...

Rob Try Herts... If you're not going to run it full time with the charger whilst you're at Uni go for a limited mileage policy this will bring teh prices right down... The Cabby on 3k a year cost just £240 fully comp and 2k agreed.. and the insurance co don't mind mods, only thing they won't cover is NOS!
  25. Seagull poo's the worst.... I swear they drink paint stripper... Also depends on the time of year, if they're eating berries their Guano is more acid, or so I've been told by a "Twitcher"..
