Done a search on CL issues but there's no real "definative" thred. My CL doesn't work, pump's fine (well makes right noises) but no movement from the locks. It sounds like a tube issue but I can't find a relevant thred about the routing on the tubes or how to diagnose a leak? Any help please?

Has anyone cut down their 90mm spoiler? - done it

about 10mph or less. I lost a chin spoiler on a MkI golf to going too quickly over a speed hump ripped it clean off, and didn't notice till I got home! Also look at how low the notch was I basically had 3 fingers clearance to the lowest point so all speed humps we taken at walking pace (often with a bit of grinage as weel!) So these days I just ease over them, TBH let the buggers behind you wait, rather than terminally daming your engine. -
too damn small :( 15x5.5! They are replicas of Porsche 911 "Gas Burners" originals are v.rare and go for over £1000/ set when they come up. But as these are replicas they may be able to up the size if the demand was there....

iow you want a set of these: 18x8.5 5x100 38et! I was thinking as an alternative to all the D90's ...
-
yeah that's what I'd like to achieve.... were they fully polished or detailed? Can't quite see on the photo.... Any-one got close ups of fully polished vs detailed and ploished Estos? Just so I can see which way I'd like to go....

I'd love to know what they're made of, I've been going over the same 3 grinding speed humps for 6 months and it still catches the last one just as bad today as the first time! The only problem I can see with a 50mm one is that it's be too close to the sump height? I like having a "feeler" in front when going over those damned pillow humps..... Can't go at it diag as it's on a junction and nutters in Chelsea Tractors just hoon over them! Was thinking small Titanium blocks for that Sparkage effect! :D -

 looks like this history lesson's turned into a German Language lesson! -
Yikes! 10 Hours! May have them media blasted and then attack them.... The again may just go the whole hog and get them done by the guy who did the detail polish on my Notch's wheels.

Not a bad job even though I say so myself! And at a cost of £2.50!
-
Cheers for your kind words, they make the difference when you're knackered and sweaty... :pukeright: The 120 hardly touched the laquer that's still there so I'll have them done professionally. This was just a trial to see if they were any good or if I should just buy another set of wheels!

Ok here's some pics of what I managed to achieve in an hour today (between coats of satin black, spraying my grill badge). No before shot but you can get an idea of what the wheel's like from the bits I haven't done. After attcking with 120/400/600/800.... And after 1200/ several attacks with Autosol.... You can just see the reflection coming.... The spoke on the right is a good "before shot" Not exactly a professional job but I was just trying on one spoke to see what happened. I'm now convinced I'll send them off to be done professionally as soon as I have the spare cash... Oh and I'll have to get some "Winter wheels" as well ;)

Badge out, stripped and 5 coats of satin black, last one drying as I type. results posted as soon as the paint's dry....

yeah that what worried me too...

H Faster and sillier? Have you seen Pete Enzogliogo??? (Cogbox)'s baby Fiat 500 with a very hot VW Flat4 in it? Pulls the biggest wheelstands I've ever seen! And that was just outside the Ace Cafe! Probably be at Volksfest London this weekend.... I hope! -
Are they the same for MkII Goof and 'Rado? Have been offered a set off a MkII but wanted to be sure

Erm, think some Volvo's came wit twin pot calipers. Mate has them on the front of his "GTi" Caddy (running about 160-180 bhp) and claims they're awesome for no money.... Mind you he's now also tooling about in a 49 Buick with Hydros.... this behmoth stops in about the same distance as an oil tanker!

My boot lock's stopped working when I removed the cover found this. Does any-one know part numbers for what i need (or psooibly have spares?) Shows broken part (bit that pivots on the left or the lock) Found in the bottom of the tailgate, I assume this links to the above and the central locking rod???? Any help gratefully received
-
yeah think so I've just taken these photos to see if it makes things easier. shows broken part, bit that's attached to lock plate and is pivoted on the left shows remaining piece of above (rest shattered) This I assume ties the lock and central loking together some how? (found in the tailgate cavity lose.

Looking at a set of 928 alloys they are: Front 7j 16 ET 65 and Rears 8j 16 et 52.3. what spacers would I need to keep them under my arches on my 92 2.0 16v Also what tyres would I need to look at to keep rolling radius as on my 15's (195/50/15). I know the prosche weel fit has been done to death but was looking for specifics from any-one who's done this on their C

cheers guys, got it out and dash (sort of back together). Any-one know where I can get the actual bulb from apart from the stealers?
-
Avoid CCA Aylesbury will update later when BT have sorted their connections out!

Thought I'd see if I could get the drivers side tweeter working, so quickly swapped with passenger and still nothing so figured a connection at the stereo, pulled it out and to my surprise, the other side of the sony multi-plug is all the speaker wires cut, spliced and soldered together with gaffer tape on them (most of wich if peeling off with the heat! How dangerous is that and it probably explains why 1/2 the speakers don't work! There's a posting going up on the ICE bad fitters about this. Anyway rant over and whilst I was there I thought I'd pop out the heater sliders and see if I can replace the blown bulb. Problem is that it appears to be a sealed unit! So undeterred I prised the white back off and found the bulb (in a beige/yellow surround) but for the life of me I can't see how to get it out! Help! I have to leave in 2 hrs! I'd like my dash back in 1 piece!
-
OK looking to replace all the speakers in my early interior. Rears are torn and f@rt doors look like some-one's kicked them and the drivers front tweeter's stopped working. What are the best component replacements that aren't silly money? Was thinking Infinity...JBL...sony...
-
Simple, keep the rear seatbelts done up, they will stop the rear seats in the event of the latches breaking... Or a "Bulkhead" behind the seats.... ;)
