Ok I've heard Jedi and others talk about clay bars on here, and I understand that they remove dirt.... But how does rubbing clay on your car help keep it clean? and what other steps do you need to do afterwards? Does it remove old polish as well? At the moment I've used Meg's 3-step (but with step 3 replaced with Gold Wax) twice in 3 months and Meg's Gold'ed it about every two weeks (weather permitting as I'm a "weekend warrior") between. TBH It looks really good like this but if there's a way of getting it better... Sorry for "stupid questions" but I'm from the old Skool of Show car prep where it was a wash, a chamois, and a hit or two with Autoglym Red... spray tyre foam for the plastic/rubber bits and a quick polish with Autosol chrome cleaner for the rest!

Right have finally decided to sort out the botch job the "professional" monkeys :onfire: did when fitting my Sony (and to actually wire the damn thing uoproperly so it 's memory works) so it actually stays in the dash when I accelerate... Q is: Is there a way of getting to the back to sort out all the wiring nice and neat? Mines all shoved behind the stereo and I can't get it to sit right behing the fan controls etc.. ? IIRC There's a way to get to it from the side but I can't see how? :scratch: Sorry it's a stupid Q to most but I don't want to go hacking about at the dash if tehre's an easy way.. Cheers.

OK Why should you 6-banger boys should have your own thread? Any-one have recommendations on the dos and don'ts of Turbo/Supercharging (or even both like the new Folg GT?) a 16v? What Kits? What Charger? Intercoolers? BMC's Fueling etc...

could try these guys: http://www.customandcommercial.co.uk/ They do air-colled stuff but their Chroming's spot on.... Door strikers are notoriously hard to do as they, well get struck by the door. IIRC They have to be Nickel Chromed wich is harder...

IIRC, they're not MOT fails as long as you can unlock the door from the outside....
