SNS Tuning Diamond Finish Billet Gear Knob - BEAUTIFUL
vwdeviant replied to Anton Sobriquet's topic in Interior
And some photos as well please? Quite like the look of this... -
So wht should they be such a pain? Any-one know if any-one out there does stock style discs but with 5x100 stud pattern? I know some co. does stock but with Porsche stud pattern discs....
-
What is it with 'Rados and F**d Probes? The guy next door but one has gone and bought a white Probe! Any-one got a recommendation on Coloured Polish? I use Autoglym Red but the stonechips are just getting whiter, not good on a pearl grey car?

OK, here's some advice from some-one who's dealt with 30yr+ cars. If it's a small area, fine have it patched up, but you'll need to go to a proper bodyshop who you can trust to make sure there's NO more rot in the sill. Otherwise you'll be doing it all over again in a couple of years. As you're going to have a small are re-spayed if it's patched you may as well go the whole hog and get them to strip a bit further each side just to make sure. Sorry if I've told Granny to suck Eggs....

Ok am thinking about changing the discs (f&R) to VR6 as the range of 5 stud wheels is much greater than 4x100 and I don't really want to run adaptors... Is this a relativly straight swop? Discs and bearings? Or a Weston (Super Mare)?? Has anyone come up with a disc setup pre-drilled to Porsche 5 stud? (like they have in the Air-cooled world..)

 Well that's two of us then.. I wonder how many more there are out there?? Stan 24v an update??

Hey Chris, my issues started out similar (but the passenger side was intermittant). I'd suggest everything that Henny and the others helped me with. CL pump in drivers rear 1/4 under carpet, diconnect main car pip and blow, if you can there's a leak. Then try door ends, remove cards and have a feel about (my divers pipe wasn't seated, bit of fiddling and robert was a reletive!). If not then two areas under the dash. Have a look at my thred. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45144 If not Pneumatics then electrics.... Best O' Luck
-
GUYS! I'd like some photos please! Looking to buy some replacements this weekend! I'm not removing them as I too like the idea of a manual back up if the CL fails (as it does a lot :D)

OK now I've bust one of my stock plastic door pins sorting the central locking I was thinking about what the best aftermarket door pins would be? So show us your pins please!
-
Many thanks guys, finally fixed it! Turned out that the pipe had come off the drivers door solenoid! What and arse to get to though! Good job I've skinny arms! Some swearing and swaeting but all done, only problem is that I snapped the door pin when trying to re-attach the door card! Got the door back together and almost had a heart attack when I couldn't unlock the door! (Pin was stuck under the card!) More jiggery pokery and a wood screw in the plastic stump to keep it all in line and ........ IT WORKS!!!! I've even discovered the total closure on the windows (by accident almost trapped my head in it!) All I have to do is get a new set of door pins and replace them, see my next thred for that "epic" :D
-
OK can blow and suck without ruputing myself (cue dinkus!). So I guess something's come adrift/ split somewhere... Where are the weak points (I'm guessing door hinges/ connections)? All the electrics seem fine as both door locks activate the pump......
-
OK whiose going to put their hand up on this one then?
-
Cheers Ben16v
-
Looked at one today and the only problem I can see is that you have to screw it instead of using the orginal clip fixings.... Pays your money you takes your choice
-
Right, pump seems Ok as the boot solenoid works (as does the petrol flap) So I guess it's the pipes for the doors, is there a T piece I should be looking for?

Saw it at London Volksfest this afternoon, absolutely awesome! Ben did you get a timing slip? -
Cheers, yes the the bit in the top photo has sheared off. If any-one has the trim off their car at the moment and can do me a decent photo of a complete lock it would be helpful.
-
cheers will have a go over the week-end in amongst weddings etc. If I have to chase it how do I take off the door cards? Can see 4 screws on edges and the clips at the bottom and assume the door pin unscrews, but no obvious way of taking out the release handle trim?

Yeah oil pressure sender warning you of immenant expensive damage... Happened to me coming off M25 and onto M11 long right/left/right corners Advised speed limit 30 (but can do it at 50) think the oil must have all been hiding in one corner of the sump by the time I came out of there.... But checked my levels when I got home and topped off the oil as it was a little low.... My Goof Cab did this to me about once a month and that had a fresh rebuilt engine, apparently, so well built it used 3 litres a month! :D
-
:( doesn't with me... H am going to PM you my e-mail can you send it over as a word doc please?
-
OK why can't I see the download??? Any-one got it in word format or simiar??
