  1. Wetwax? Anyone had a go with this stuff yet? With the way this summer's going could be handy...
  2. Alledgedly you get 60mpg from it.. or at least that's what I think Mick and Andy were saying, hard to tell really! 60 mpg ! That stuff is strong! And a 30bhp increase..
  3. Alledgedly you get 60mpg from it.. or at least that's what I think Mick and Andy were saying, hard to tell really!
  4. Mark, got pics of "Pukka" Belgium plates?
  5. And a big "Ganja Leaf" in the middle Like the Cupra Phil? Have mailed Plateman and Dubmeister.. lets see what comes back... Really want to run them daily so will probably go unbanded and have a set of "Show" plates.
  6. Also a plus point if you run out of Petrol!
  7. Any-one know where I can get "other" types of metal plates made up? Belgium, Dutch, Danish, etc.. ?
  8. Need to get some new plates and want to go the pressed metal route (avoid the stone damage that's happened to this set!) Now do I go full on "D"plates and Stadt stickers or just plain pressed plates? If I go the D-plate I know I'll get pulled.... Opinions and Photos of your plates please?
  9. Problem is that it follows the door all the way to where the Bump Strip is, then it's 5mm (ish) wider! Bonnet shut's ok, as is the A pillar gap and the door gap just the bottom 1/4 below the rubber strip seems to stick out further than the door! :?
  10. Hmm Large Fly seems to have appeared in my "Do I 1.8T the Valver" thoughts.... :?
  11. Yup my thoughts too... Or maybe it's just possesed Jim?
  12. The 20mm is actually more like 5mm which explains Mark's appalling parking ;) He also needs a load of other things after giving the car the once over before it dissapears to the bodyshop.. but I'm sure you'll post a wanted ad for those too eh?
  13. Ah there's a thred on this.. What sort of money would he be looking for to produce more spoilers?
  14. Love to see what the stopping distances are like... Polo's not exactly renowned for great brakes.. I know I drove a 1.3 Ranger... "Whoohoo! Will I ever stop for this roundabout?"
  15. Different types of 1.8Tsas well isn't there? Which is best (discuss! ) This has got me thinking.... Now where are those "Cheap" Ibiza Cupra brakes?
  16. Now he tells me! Another thing if you're putting a B4 roof into an early car, you'll need the old motor (hardwired into the loom) and also need to swap the sunroof surround from the Passat (all the way round) to the Rado (hole at front) or, as I did, trim off the "Lip" on the sunroof switch cover... Also I noticed early motors don't have an allen key to manually wind the roof! :(
  17. Welcome back to the fold Andy.... The sayings true..once sold always regretted!
  18. Andy, Stay with the Dynamics.. they're light as anything, therefore driving response will be better too...
  19. A rare and unusual drink concoted in fields full of planes with no engines... I'm sure Dinkus/Yeti/MicVR will be along shortly to explain...
  20. Andy, did you try contacting Team Dynamics directly? I'm sure they'd do a "One-Off" set of satin black in 4x100 for you!
  21. Flustered.. What do you mean! Fitted and all is fine It's about 2mm high at the front but no wind noise today! Really don't want to have to pull the sodding thing apart again... Actually it was quite easy except for two things... 1/ The windscreen surround (across the top between the A pillars) broke 3 clips trying to get it off.. any-one got part numbers? 2/ The B/C Pillar plastics take some ingenious use of seatbelts to keep them out the way.. 3/ The Coat hooks, I have got the covers off but buggered if I can get them to clip back over again.. any tips? Only other tip is DON'T try this on your own.. needs at least two people (3 are better for keeping the B/C pillars out the way).
  22. 16.. Buy New Rado..
  23. About to go and start this now.... anyone got any advice?
  24. Andy go to Hellfrauds they normally have a set kicking about on display... Think the satin/Flat black would be a better look...
  25. Nice! Who the hell would trade a G-lader for a Kia! Still snowing over in Ohio then? ;) I know it can get cold in late summer (was over for SCCA Nats a few years ago) but even still!
