  1. Watch out he doesn't come round with some mates and tarmac your driveway! ;) Well done Andy, nice to see some justice in this world.
  2. That's because you live in London and drive whilst shaving and drinking a coffee, you don't have a spare hand to change gear! Mind you you spend most of your life in 1st anyway! John remember when you get out the "smoke" this weekend you'll need to use your left foot a lttle more often and stir that stick-thing next to you a bit!
  3. Hey Andy, Pm'd you a while ago.. I take it I'm on the list to recieve a mail from you soon? Want to get the headlights taken out and sorted pretty soon so having the loom would mean I can do it all in one go... Let me know...
  4. Will late pods fit to early panels? Asking as I want to add slightly larger speakers and IIRC Late pods have bigger speakers? If so what size? Not worried about electric window switch holes as will fill those with tweeters...or something.... And yes I know I should go the Audioscape route, but I don't have the spare folding at this time...
  5. Technically it's theft.. Go ask plod what you can do? If not I'd be thretening then with claims court.. in a similar way to those bank charge cases... Get onto the press too... TopGear... Watchdog.. etc...
  6. 9a's also sing when given some beans... Think VW's exhaust engineers got it spot on with the stock exhaust.. Nice and quiet round town and a bit "rah" when you open the throttle....
  7. Mine's gone through 2 MOTs with a 2mm hole filled with clear Silicon... I think as long as your beam patterns not screwed... however you need to get it sealed/ replaced as any moisture will kill teh silvering on the lights and that WILL be a MOT fail...
  8. Who could possibly object?..except Clarkson haters/tree huggers. I mean that's what salt-flats in Africa are for. I think they're upset as it'll apparently take 100's of years for the tracks to dissapear... Mind you I'm sure they'd be fine if they bacame as famous as Utah's salt falts.. ;)
  9. Props Rob..... Did you manage to get the Stereo to fit properly too whilst you were in there..... I may have to done a lesser version of this to get my front speakers working.. think I'm gonna by-pass the loom and just run Monster cable to the doors and sling in the Referance speakers that have been hiding in the folks Garage for a few years into another set of pods...
  10. If they are I'd buy it! Seriously though.. an "established dealer" who takes pics of his cars in the street? (And not a great location either knowing Chesham!)... Buyer beware!
  11. Andi, if you have his address go round (in a mates car) do a little undercover surveylance.. get reg of his van and call up your insurance co. tell em what happened and they'll chase him down for you! If he has insurance that is... :?
  12. Went onto Mytyres.. did the ordering bit on T1R's and then looked for local fitters then rang them up.. Said on web £32 plus £12 fitting (didn't tell him T1R's though ;) ) so he went and found some from some-one he knows for £37... Easy... On Blackcircles they (PX4's) are £51!
  13. Coming from the man who buys Tesco Value tyres  Toph: Timeteam Quality Archiolgical show hosted by Tony "Baldrick" Robinson... Phil is a character in hat and shorts, from the west country (Bristol?) who's trade mark Arrhhh generally accompanys his discovery of anything remotely interesting.... Usually followed by either cider or real ale...
  14. Well not done stellar mileage on them yet... but will keep udated... But from over the weekend in dry good, and in the wet (monsoon) stuff seem to be almost as good as Yoko A520's and they shifted so much water you couldn't see the Skyrocket for teh rooster tail! I guess when they've bedded in I'll be able to tell for sure.... Horses for courses.. in the dry they probably won't com near to 888's but then they will last longer! Wanted something that is quiet, takes some "spirited abuse" and keeps the car on the blackstuff during monsoon season.. which they seem to be living up to much better than the P6000's on the rears (which will be replaced with PX4's as soon as funds allow)
  15. Like the VR! Do it Tom paint in Tesco Value colours...
  16. I didn't mean literally! The concept is the same.....two "V" treads within the same shoulder to shoulder area... If you squint.. Double6's I was wondering too (been a Yoko man myself) till I bought some... They are damn good...
  17. Rainsports VS.... PX4's Similar but copied? Hmm???
  18. Time team the Corrado years! You need to get Phil on that with a trowel going "Arrgh!" Just realised you're in s/Ireland so may not know what the hell I'm on about! Skills on the airbrushing...shame the front looks like it's been sprayed through a Trellis fence! Keep it up and lets see what else lurks under the paint!
  19. True, I seem to have stopped grabbing the splitter quite so badly now!
  20. See my reply in the "What Tyre thred" these are amazing!
  21. Hmmm... I would have thought that 205s and 195s would have been fine as the corrado was supplied new on them (the valver being on 185s in some cases) the actual width of the 195 rainsports is over 205mm anyway. True, I'm sure on my tyre pressure chart thingy on the B pillar apart from saying I should inflate my tyres to about 400 Atmospheres.. (38psi IIRC) also lists 14" wheels!
  22. Damn.. you bodyshop's look like its in some-one's shed! Mind you Rado appears to be in very good company.... Fingers etc for ED for you.... BTW you can have too many sets of RS's you know... ;)
  23. Try 888's saw the state of Croosin's after a "Quick" trip up from Behmouth to Brands... He recons 1-2 track days and tehy're shot.... One reviewer's got 17,000 out of a set! Ok in the US so probably all straight line freeway stuff
