http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=110719 Seems you're not the only one who knows about this... ? Get it bought and Now! Then punt it on... If I had the cash (and space) I'd have had it by now... -
Stan, TBH this would be 3rd on my list of "Haves" 1/ Rado (obviously) 2/ S3 (or maybe the "Very special" RS3  I saw in East London over the weekend  ) 3/ LCR (Old shape, but not in Silver.. Black or Grey suits the shape better IMHO) 4/ Lupo Sport/Fabia VRS.. hmmmm

Have I missed some New Rules on Motorway Driving?
vwdeviant replied to Jay2's topic in General Car Chat
Not just 3 series... I had a brand new 5 touring sat about 2 ft off my bumper on the M25 yesterday morning.. at *cough* "the speed limit" (ie Corrado's "usual" M-way cruising speed), what really hacked me off was the fact that I couldn't actually go anywhere as we were in lane 3 with a stream of "Sunday drivers" in Lane 2... So really what was the point? Other than to endanger your wife and two (unrestrained as they were climing about the back seat not watchin their Headrest DVDs) kids? Mind you had a wee bit of "Red Mist" on the M11 with a nobber in a Mk4 Goof 2.0.. carved me up where it narrows to 2 lanes by a speed camera... Wouldn't have been so bad but the fact that I had to welly the anchors on as he was coming down from about 90 to 50 for the camera right across my bows... So into 3rd and off after him.. when I finally pulled alongside (he almost took out a motobike with his impatience after this as well!) turns out he not only had his missus in the car but a baby in the back as well! Backed off after that.. I don't want to be responsable for that Kn@b-jockey's driving.. Still on the upside.. I managed 35.7mpg on yesterday's run! -
Andy, looking good, can't wait to see what they look like in the flesh! Will have to get mu finger out and sling teh Borbets on to see what they are like... Re: Turn-in what tyres are you running? IIRC Toyo T1S? Might be down to that "Soft" sidewall compered to the Dunloops! But should give a slightly more mellow ride..
-
You'll need to double check the catagory of write off too as some can't be overturned.. ?A/B?
-
Karl... Given up on the "Other" winter wheels then? Borbet C's still with me so may sling them on and "re-furb" the Estos for winter with some POR15... ;)

Sorry Gav couldn't resist..

Why? If you can't eat an apple and drive then why should smoking be acceptable? I remember a conversation down the pub and the smokers were all recalling 'close calls' when they had been smoking and driving, fags ends setting light to themselves and the back seats etc.. And let's face it, most people could do with concentrating on driving the car these days rather than tabbing, playing with the sat nav, telling the kids off etc etc. True... So which is more distracting... Marlboro or TomTom? The number of muppets I see weaving around the Motorways at night trying to read Glowing Sat-navs stuck to windscreens far out weigh the typical "Flicking a fag out the window" wobble.. And don't get me started on in-car DVD players..
-
What next? " I'm sorry sir I'm booking you for dangerous driving as you removed a hand from the wheel to have a scratch"!
-
Smoking & driving "If you're lighting up with one hand and have a fag in the other hand then obviously you've not got any hands on the wheel." Eh? Who the hell does that! I personally perfer to have a fag in my mouth when lighting it!

Rob, Will you be bringing her up to Players this Sunday? Or even down to Mimms tonight?

Lady hit my Corrado this morning! UPDATE: In paint
vwdeviant replied to Lorns's topic in General Car Chat
True, yesterday, had some W@nker in a "Red-i" goof GTdi block me at 70 when I was approaching at a greater velocity, so flashed him and what does he do? Lobs the Anchors on! "Oh I know instead of using the empty inside lane I'll cause a pile up!" And guess who was behind me and flashing when I left the station last night? Yup! and did I do the same? Nope, just dropped it a gear and hoofed it! Ruddy Yokels... -

Good job Kev doesn't have to drive in London! Lorns.. gutted.. will you have it back for Friday? If so pop down to South Mimms.. PM Heristies if you want a driving buddy! He's local.. -
Look to the skies... Sorry to hear that mate.... hope you can get a decent amount out the Insurance without too much tooing and froing..
-
I find punching mine helps! Furkz get a new one if it doesn't go past first click, it means somethings gone inside as they get brittle due to heat buildup from teh amaing job VW did of the headlight wiring! If VAG don't have them ARZ do!
-
yay Rob glad to hear you are smiling again after the call Saturday. Maybe the regulator? Try by-passing if it's running too rich?
-
Rob, stick the kettle on I think you maybe having visitors!
-
Goole images matey! NigelVR.. keep us updated about this yeah?
-
I get a feeling a road-trip might be in order today... ;)
-
Yeah, definitely! 8) :offtopic: Mimms meet's not too far and we always have a good turn out of Rado's (they outnumber golfs still!)

Bally you and teh boys coming down the M1 next Friday to Mimms? Be good to see you there and have a proper crawl over your car ;) -
Ouch! Any-one done it? I'm thinking A big engine and Brembos without ABS could be asking for Hedge/tree/ditch interface....(Not me BTW..;) )
-
Ok strange question but how much work is involved in retro-fitting ABS into a non-ABS car? Pump (obviously) Sensors and Triggers Wiring loom... anything else?
