I'm putting 195s on my vr when I get new tyres, there's about a £20/tyre difference on rainsports for the extra 10mm But won't there be a sidewall height discrepancy?

Agreed a set of "Goof 16v" stylee rears would have gone a long way.. Aftermarket stuff all seems too ... Bling.. :( A decent set of projectors that don't look like mk3 Capri lights wouldn't go amiss either... Oh and a cossie rear wing too :lol:

Matt, there's some one on here doing a bike carb conversion.. Can't remember his username but has a white rado... sure he'll be by soon... I know of a 2.0 Audi 80 running then now and is sweet apparently.....

The "new" Prox is out and at the same price as the T1R... Tempting esp if they are a step up (which they should be) If not maybe I'll go ith the "Cheaper" (by £4) :shock: Eagle F1GSD3's !

This rather wet morning..pretty much everything with tread on it's driven tyres! Was getting spin into 2nd and it's only a 2.0/16v!!!! I really need to replaced the almost Stirling Moss "Jupiters" and get some Toyo's sorted this weekend.. and it's pay day!

Was in the paper about the enviromental damage of taking a hoofin great big Diesel 4x4 over the pole has done... Clarkson's also in schtick for running something fast over a salt-flat in Africa.... and leaving dirty great big tramlines all over the place...

You can run stock dampers and lowered springs.. just cut down the bumpstops... I have Bogie Shocks on mine and it's down 60mm...

Am I the only omn who looks at that side shot and thinks .. late80-early 90's Honda Civic "aero-deck" the one all the blue-rinsers drove, invariably in White..... Like this... Still nice to see VW are keeping the tradition of a "Sporting Coupe" with 4x4 rideheight a-la the VR6! :lol:

No 17's are.. but only because I have a set to go on! Things you need to look out for are the offsets.. and how low you're running... can produce some "comedy" tyre shedding icidents.. Ask Heristes and Croozin!

No Problems with taking them off.. just a sharp blade and a steady hand.. or in my case a sligtly hung over hand a dull penknife.. but mine were so fooked it did the job..

Sure some-one posted a while ago that it "can" be done with the dash in situ... dunno if this is any more difficult than pulling the dash out? Rob you ordering control Cables etc as well seeing as you'll be rumaging in the guts of the car! My job this weekend is a removal of the headlining and new roof.. Joy!
