Battery's on hold until payday as the one I want is £90! So poor Charlie the Cabby has donated his for the moment. Well Sunday came, and I treated her to a full tank of super (ouch!) and of we went to Brands... Not a beat mised there, stormed along the A-roads and Motorways... Averaged 35mpg over to 130 or so miles... not bad considering I was giving her a real run out back trying to catch up the rest of teh guys who left just as I got out the loo.. only to find they'd gone the other way and got caught in traffic!... I probably pushed her as hard as ever through some of the twisty stuff and harder through some of the dual carridgeway/roundabouts probably inspired by John's tyre smoking antics in the morning. Got home and finally I'd decided on a name...only taken me 18months... but she's now called Foxy as her plate ends Foxtrot Golf Papa..... So now time to get onto that arm-long list of jobs, which I've just added a clicking CV joint and an anemic fan, and teh Moonroof's come right up teh scale after a neck-full of water Saturday after washing her...

Dunno if it's just me but in the couple years I've been using the forum it seems the past 3 months has seen more "Write offs/ damage" than before.. I'm wondering if VW put some secret weapon in Rados that attracts other cars into them to provide an inbuilt lifespan! Discuss.... ;)

B'stid BMW 3 touring driver with No Lane discipline or indicators... went to go round him coming off roundabout onto dual crrageway and he just drifted into my lane! Lots of combined Bakes and headlights.. Fortunately didn't hit him (or his car :lol: ).... There are some complete hand shandies out there, it seems like there's a Rado/old VW witch-hunt on the roads recently... Best of luck getting this sorted quickly matey...

Ok Pearl Grey Rado.... Set of Borbets C's to be refurbed.... What colour to go with? Currently thinking... Polished (but its a daily) Stock Silver (bit dull, and samey...) Black (looks Dirty, but mean) White (motorsport look.. PITA to clean) Signal Orange/Green? What do you think? Or even if any-one can Phto-plop these ideas.. ?

Yup - as SC suggested fits in nicely - a slight overhang into the engine bay on one side and the clamp on the otherside is just under the wing overhang. But seeing as that is the earth side its not really an issue. Don't know what clearances would be like on the VR though Cheers Yalan, looks about the same size as the one in there ATM...
