Errm these are definitely et33 or 35 so they won't be the same, et29 is not a common corrado bbs offset, might be a bmw wheel. I'll do these wheels and centres for £80 you then have £20 to get the 4th vw bbs and you can sell the wheel you have or keep as the spare. I need to get these gone, just a thought. Chris ---------- Post added at 12:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:52 PM ---------- No worries I'll get them out as soon as. Thanks Chris -

As far as I'm concerned driving in this country now is generally a paranoid affair and a test of memory as to where all the speed traps are locally. Ruined it for me really I'd prefer to have some sort of GPS based speed limiting system fitted to my car to make driving a more relaxed affair. Currently using my cruise control to stay out of trouble! T***TS!

If you need a good replacement downpipe I have one! :) Clicky

Yeah it's pretty grim around there. I used to live around there. Horsforth is better though just up the road.
-
Wow! This engine change would get a Corrado back on my drive. Good job I'm poor these days! :)

Try Gary at Brentacre!
-
I've got a strong G60 pieburg pump in the garage! £20! :D
-
I have a bottom end for sale if anyone suffers this issue with damage I also have a couple of PG crankshafts if people need a replacement! :)
-
The EV engine in my old 1985 car was solid lifter must be a head from a later car. If your going to lower the CR I can't see the point of using it. Sell it and get a PG bottom end I have one in the garage if your interested! :D

10:1 or there abouts has been tried before, the car made good power and torque but it wasn't very reliable and caused all sorts of problems with tuning. E85 may help with timing advance and ultimately knock but it would be a gamble. I'd stick with the GTi head and cam if you were going to try this as the overlap would help with such a high compression ratio. The solid lifters of the EV head would allow you to rev higher and still keep making power. Could be interesting! :)

I concur! 16v=10.5:1CR 45cc in the head 8v=10.5:1CR 30cc in the head with the rest coming from the dish in the piston 15cc? (?can't remember now?). :salute: 16v head+8v pistons around 60cc = 8:1CR or a tad less than that.
