Just went to ECP to pick up some drop links, they had completely the wrong ones. They insisted they were right though :( Does anyone know where to get hold of some drop links for a 2.0 16v Rado? In addition do the drop links com with all the washers and bolts? as the ECP oines didn't and they didn't even have the washers or bolts listed! Cheers

Wanted to order some Pflex front bushes, does anyone know what size front ARB the 2.0 16v has??? As I am stuck at work and can't go out and measure up :(

Cheers guys Trust me.....theres have been plenty of times were I have thought WTF am I doing?? Thanks for all the bits Ben, they have all scrubbed up real nice. Glad somone noticed the bolts!!! all new from VAG. My neighbour was looking under the C the other week, think his comment that I have replaced every single component is pretty true LOL.

I persoanlly would not use radweld. It does stop the leak, but it also coats the internals of your cooling circuit.

Been a real lazy sod...usual excuses work, bad back etc etc. here are a few updates anyhow, you will notice the OEM suspension LOL :) as I need to get some spacers sorted: Fuel tank tonight, then can start her up finally!!

I am in shock  -
This is a real shame.... :( If you can, I would advise you just to cover the car and keep the bits, and come back to it at a later date. Take a few weeks to think about it.

Think you answered your own question. Its most likely worn guides, piston rings or worse case cylinder bore wear. Either way wouldn't worry about if your going to be rebuilding the head and sticking it on a new block.
-
Nothing like a freshly painted block!! :) Bet it's going to be very satisfying putting it all back together.

That’s BS, if the guy has blatantly mis-sold something that’s not as described wouldn’t you want others to know? Regardless of forum? How can you confine a seller whos been ripped off to a single forum but not the buyer? How would you feel if you bought the fella’s engine of a different forum and it turned out to be crock of s**te? Especially if you found out that he had mis-sold stuff on other forums. Why is it that the mods removed the post? Surely they should give the seller a chance to respond instead? Thinks it wrong, what about the guy who gets ripped off? after all were not talking about chump change, £1000 + £200 repair bill is a lot of money by anyone’s standards. BigTartanJudge if you have no luck, I would consider the following: https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp

Nice, One of my fav colours. Get some more pics up dude!
-
LOL cheers. What are you up to dude? thought you has a custom made exhaust not too far back? you gonna go for side exit exhaust? :D Would love to have your zorst mate, but have had to resort to bargain hunting/scrounging :( Just bought a Rallye system a while back for the bargain price of £25  , only hassle was collecting it from Tamworth (the missus was not impressed!). The bit I am going to have grief with is the manifold :( , as I am going to keep it as a valver for the winter/spring. I always planned to turbo it, so never worried about the zorst as the Turbo would 'pressurise' the whole sytem and so I could be quite sloppy.

Welcome to the forum. Ver tidy example you have there! 8)

Nice motor mate 8) Good choice of mods, the FK AK suspension is seriously underated, I had them on my motor after std suspension and they were worh every penny!
-
Welome to the forum! Always great to see another valver. Hats off to you for fixing her up and giver her anohter chance! :D

Cheers, Have made alot more progress, need to stick some pics up. Reckon it will be properly 100% ready November (early), only real concern is tax, test and adequate insurance cover. Hopefully it will snow this year!
