  1. looks far better as it was imo, u must agree!
  2. I know what you mean, would you belive this is the same car before he changed it! :
  3. Found a picture of some tinted red inpros, if you got rid of the chrome strip, and did something with the reverse lights, i think they would look spot on, see what you think: http://www.vw-teilescout.de/gallerie/de ... ge_id=2061
  4. I was thinking about tinting the all clear inpros red, i think you would get beter results rather than tinting the stock clusters, you would'nt need anywhere near as much red tint on them, so the indicator should shine more orange, and if they did shine a bit red, you could fit yellow indicator bulbs, worth a try i think Maybe the fitment problem could be sloved with a drimmel?
  5. I rubbed the lettering off mine, with wet and dry, the lense wont look scratched when sprayed, fore more info look here: http://www.corrado-club.ca/mods/tailtints.html
  6. The worst one has got to be "ahh, nice, a scirocco"
  7. Badger 5 is selling the leon 323mm brembo kit for £695 http://www.badger5.demon.co.uk/ Im sure if you went to the dealers you could pick up the kit cheaper as you can with the 305mm kit
  8. The 5 stud 312mm kit that tsr sells does come with brembo 4 pot caliapers, and it is only £100 more than what they are selling the 305mm 4 stud version for
  9. yeah, but it costs double what the Ibiza setup costs! :? Are you sure henny?, im sure tsr are selling the 312mm five stud kit for £618
  10. Right then....I emailed mike who hosts the little spider website and has done the conversion in the us, this is the email he sent back: James, No, I dont mind you e-mailing me. If you have any more questions, just send them my way. I'm not sure about the VR6 disks in the UK, but i would think that they are the same as the US spec... You cannot use the US spec VR6 disks for the conversion - the offset is different. They will physicaly fit on the hubs (since they are VR6 hubs), but when it comes time to install the brakes, they won't line up. If you place both rotors flat on a table (like a plate), you will see that the G60 rotor has about 1CM more offset that the VR6 rotor. (The 4 cyl rotor will be taller.) They are correct about the MK3 hubs - they are the same as a VR6 corrado. (same part number) Also - don't be afraid to drill the rotors. Since they are sandwitched between the wheel and hub you do not risk breaking anything by drilling them. I have had the conversion on my car (Driven Daily) for almost 4 years with NO problems. I drive VERY aggresively, and I pretty much grew up on an autocross course. Saftey is always first - period. I would have never drilled the rotors unless I knew for sure that it was 100% safe. BTW, I used to live in London... I worked for the London International Foreign Futures and Options exchange (LIFFE) back in 97-98 in the IT Implement and Change department. -Mike So basically the mk3 golf hubs will require the same modifications as the c vr6 hubs as explained in his website, as they are both exsackely the same. The vr6 discs, unless they are different to the us spec items....they wont fit This is the link to eurospecs webite who sells the custom 5 stud hub that fits any 4 stud corrado, then you would have to drill your existing 4 stud discs to 5 stud or get some custom bells and discs made up http://www.eurospecsport.com/introduction.htm This is a link to mikes site: http://littlespiderdesign.com/vdub/5Lug/ Mods: Any chance we could make this a "sticky"
  11. Not sure if the wings are wider, i think its just the arch moldings that are slightely wider, but its only arround 5mm per side
  12. Check this site for the info your asking for: http://miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html And i would say a 215 tyre would be best suited to a 8" wide wheel, but a 215 tyre may not be best suited to your car
  13. As for wanting to use 305mm setup on a vr6, i dont see the point when the 312mm setup from the leon is a straight swap on to the vr6
  14. Jonh is currently making me some custom 305mm two piece bells/discs in a 5 stud pattern, the bells only being the custom part as the discs that fit them are an off the shelf item From reading this whole thread and the little spider wesbite, i think the easyest way on converting the front is to buy the eurospec front hubs
  15. Rears are a straight swap, i am un sure about the mks hubs, from what i can gather, the mk3 hubs have the correct spline pattern, not sure if you would need any machined off the outside edge, or if the abs rings would fit (if your car has abs) As for the vr6 front discs, some people are saying they do fit, and the guy on the little spider website and on the vortex forum are saying they dont.......so i dont know
  16. The fronts will catch in the inner arch on full lock, You may want to fit 10mm spacers all round, not just to stop the rubbing, but to make the wheels look better on the car by them filling the arches more
  17. Remember liking the car when it appeared in pvw, looks alot better now with the porsche rims, nice work on the engine Althou corrados look spot on that low, but you must be limited on the places you can go with the front spoiler being that close to the ground?
  18. The springs are compressed flat, even when the car is jacked up, the whole set is very worn out, (im talking about my spax coilovers that are on the car at the moment btw)
  19. Yeah, i am quite pleased now, im sure it will be a great improvement over the spax, they are quite old now, the helper springs on the back are completely compressed flat!, and nearly flat on the front, im thinking theyve maybe been on there for 5 years plus, cause the owner before me said they were on the car when he bought it
  20. Rod- how do you rate them, ive heard the progresively wound springs give a much better ride, have you compared them to any other coilover? Kev- Hope there as good as the fks, fks use koni dampers dont they?
  21. Just bought myself some koni coilovers to replace my worn out spax coilovers, Brand new, still in box, from ebay for £550, maybe not the deal of the century, but they are brand new, and these kits sell at retailers for around £700 dont they?
  22. For 3k, the g60 gets my vote, i was in your situation 2 years ago, exsept i made the wrong choice and bought a 16v, nothin wrong with 16vs or the one i had, it just left me wanting more power. Altough, i would prefer a vr6, but if your not willing to save up more, then go for a g60, cause its very unlikely you will get a good vr6 for 3k
  23. 215/35/17 up front and 225/35/17 at the rear. Rims are 17's.[/quote:167a6] What width 17s are you runing Lee?
  24. Lee.... I have a very good idea on how your car is gonna look, the tyres look good stretched over wide rims, and its needed for clearance and shape of the finished arch, as you know thats part of the euro style and very different from english styling, I have very similar ideas for my corrado, looking forward to seeing yours when its finished
