My Clifford alarm does chirp when arming and I wish it didn`t. It`s so loud it annoys me no end,I will have to look into silencing them !!

What size is the spline bit and where did you get it?

I`ve got a set on mine just now ---had intended to refurb them too with a different coloured centre. Can`t be ar**d now so I`m just looking around for something else !!! Be interested to see what you decide to do !

Ray I just bought a set of the Jom coilovers off E-Bay from Venom.Cost £140!! Can`t complain at that price the are guaranteed for two years too. They do not look the worst quality and longevity remains to be seen. Havent` fitted them yet but felt I could not justify spending £700-£1000 on suspension for a £2k car !!!! For all the driving I do in it I`m sure they will be fine. I`ll let you know how I get on when they are fitted.

Fitted new scuttle foilage gasket,cheap fix from VW,thereafter washed car and hey presto dry carpets:luvlove: Next step replace thermostat housing crack pipe fit low temp thermostat.

Very nice the only thing that put me off it about 2 and a half years ago when it was for sale was the auto box,I was so tempted to fly down to Cardiff at the time!! It is a lovely Corrado and in fantastic condition electric Recaros a real bonus!! Welcome to the Satin Silver club again !!

Looking for a cheap set of 5x100 wheels preferably with tyres. Size doesn`t matter just something to enable the car to be moved,whilst refurbing other wheels. Anyone got anything they don`t really need?? Or anyone in West Scotland got a set or a couple I could borrow?? Anything considered.

Wondering if anyone as tried the gunsmoke on their rear lights and how does it compare to the subtle tint.I am in the process of changing /deblinging a set of hideous crystal lights I have.I intended going dark top half and red lower half but I am unsure which upper tint to go for,anyone tried doing this?

Cheers,you still don`t see many silver ones and it does look good when cleaned up. I`ve got a few bits and pieces to get going to the local Vw dealers today to buy,foilage gasket,crack pipe,top mounts. Gonna ask about roof strips to see if they are still available. Going to fit the coilovers next week and see what they are like.Cheapy Jom ones off the bay,will see how they ride. I`ve had koni coilovers and FK previously and was very impressed with the Konis,but budget would not stretch that far !! Got a set of Eibach springs lying around so if the coilovers don`t work out I will go down the Koni t/a and Eibach springs route. I`ve also got a set of hideous crystal rear lights that I`m in the process of de-blinging I`m looking at Lamin X to put on the lenses see how they look. Also got a full late dash to fit but will sit on that at the moment,will probably keep the early dash over the summer and see how it goes. I`ve also got my BBS RX 2`s to refurb they are off a Golf Anni so they can be split and the centres coloured if required.Jury`s out at the moment was thinking of going black or gunmetal centres or may remain conservative and go silver!!

More pics of the new and old interior

Since I`ve been on here for years and had a variety of Corrados lost the love regained the love etc etc. I`ve had two Storms blue and green,a G60 two VR6`s now this Satin Silver VR6. Thought it was about time I put up some pics of my current Corrado.Its a 1992 VR6 first registered 1/8/1992,so one of the first VR6`s in the country. So its an early model dash and door cards.Finished in satin silver. I bought it off the original owner who had kept it garaged for years.Its only done a genuine 67K miles I have owned it for about 18 months and so far its sat in my garage a bit unloved as I have been busy with other things and a back injury left me more or less immobile for a while.Took it for an MOT last year and it passed no problem,that was the only time its been on the road since I`ve owned it!! A total distance of 2 miles!! That brings us up to date. Now I have been busy doing odd jobs around the car with the intention of getting it on the road this summer---rather than buying a motorbike! I have service it changed oil and filters petrol filter brake discs and pads,got the thermostat housing to change as its developed a slight leak I have fitted a late model black leather interior,just finished the door looms this week and everything works as Volkswagen intended.

Theres loads of Vr6`s for sale just be patient and the rite car will come along. Don`t just jump in and buy one cos you want a Corrado,take your time and get the right car first time!!
