    not going much of topic what was 2k for ?? I usually fix my cars myself, so costs of parts and tools only :) for example I had to replace one of front air bag's in my allroad, audi asked 1250 inc vat, cost me 300 + 2 hours of my time. 50k miles and the timing belt went!!!!!!!! Full history and VW say too bad------Bast**** :( :(

    I`ve just been hit with a horrendous bill from VW for my Golf. :( :( :( I have totally lost the love for all things VW(no warranty claim and nearkly 2K bill) I will be selling mine soon and will never have another VW,after 20 years of having nothing else!!!! Good luck with your search for something to fill the void. I dont know what I will choose possibly BMW or Honda,something sensible and family orientated.

    I think the drivers side goes direct to the fusebox. The passenger side is under the shelf/tray thing,in the loom.

    Spotted a blue Corrado heading south on the A77 at hansel Village/Symington yesterday. Dont know what model but had Irish plate VIW. I was in a black GTI heading north, going too fast for the SPECS cameras :lol: :lol: :lol:

    I`ve used them loads of times for collection, delivery of wheels tyres,interiors and assorted car parts and packages. Never had any problems,they answer e-mails quickly,never tried to phone them! They do sub contract and use Citylink most of the time Maybe you just had a bad experience. I use them all the time as they are cheap.

    I am in the process of doing the sump gasket in mine too,hopefully to cure an oil leak too!!! I got a new gasket from VW and its just a paper/card type,which seems to be what is on the car originally. It looks just like your new one too. As Joe says I`m sure yours will be fine too,cant go far wrong :)

    Just be careful to check VW prices with the Ford ones as not everything is cheaper from Ford. As I have just found out with Thermostat housing bits and peices :(

    Quick question is the Corrado VR6 sump gasket the same as the Golf,Galaxy,Sharan etc? Wheres the cheapest palce to get a proper one? VW want £23+vat !!

    My mate just sold his,3.2 DSG TT was nice car but horrendous on petrol when really using it. Launch control was mental :) He just couldnt justfy £140 a fortnight in petrol !!!

    Don`t think you will get that going on the age of most Corrados now. Really depends on condition now rather than age.

    I went out this morning and both my cars are covered in light grey/white ash type deposits!!! Just looks like somone has been smoking and flicked ash at the car,but both are covered as are most in the street. Out with the snow foam tomorrow. :)

    Some low number Irish plates on the go just now. My mate just bought SKZ3 It means nothing but it is a low number if thats what you are after.

    There was a set on E-Bay the other day for £1000,slight hole in drivers seat bolster!!!!!!
