  1. I think G Werks are UK suppliers / dealers :)
  2. Red J plate 16v at Maccy D`s in Ayr. First Corrado I`ve seen on the road for ages :(
  3. Pimp my XJ220
  4. Did you clean up the contactss prior to refitting? They always get dirty, just like points!!! Worth cleaning them before putting the switch back in :)
  5. Well done Jim ---at last  Enjoy it and do the paintwork as and when you can ---- no rush :D :D
  6. Very nice looks clean, shiny and well maintained. Think you have a good start there :)
  7. Likewise I bought the Ford parts, they even came in a VW bag with the Ford part no. sticker over the top of the VW one :) Worth trying them if you are stuck with your VW dealer. They are fairly cheap parts and tend to get brittle with age so its easier just to change the lot to be on the safe side.
  8. That looks good for the money, you get the whole kit :) Don`t know how the quality will compare with OEM but its plastic pipes how bad can it be?
  9. Fitted re-charged battery and woo hoo started first time in 5 months :) Now got to get busy with it as its summertime will get a few extra hours of daylight :D
  10. UGH !!!! I have literally only a couple of hours ago confirmed all our accomodation - except Inverness. Thank you for the offer though, dependant it more join the trip, we may still take you up on your offer. As Judith said, we are staying in Darvel - superb looking place too. They have also provided a list of their recomendations for eating. The dates are set 11th June to 20th June. We will be in Muirkirk for the Sprint Event on Sunday 13th June. I am sending you a PM Oops sorry!!!!! :) Typically of me just too late :( :( I got your p/m and had a look at the CCGB website and read the trip itinery. Looks good :)
  11. The Corrado Club of Gt Britain :D Is the owners club You also gert discount with Chris Knott through this very forum :)
  12. Well as I will be driving almost 600 miles to get to Muirkirk it will be great if we could meet some locals! Can you have a think about any good pubs or curry houses locally that we can use on the overnight stop (and possibly use to meet you at?) John Work, wife and Corrado permitting I am now hoping to do most of the Scottish leg of the trip :) Should be ok with plenty of advance warning (thats the wife not the work!! :D ) Whats the plans for Muirkirk are you planning on staying up there or heading towards Glasgow that night? Its a bit of a one street village with very little there apart from the small sprint track. If you wanted to head down towards Ayr or Prestwick thats where I stay you could have an overnight stay there. Its only about 15-20 miles from Muirkirk Plenty of curry houses, pubs, guest houses and hotels and its nice!!! :) Staying overnight would also give you an excellent route the following day, heading up the west coast,(avoiding Glasgow) going over the Erskine bridge and up along Loch Lomondside heading for Oban or Fort William. Some absolutely brilliant roads and scenery up there 8) 8) Would be a joy to take the Corrados up that way!!!! :norty: :norty:
  13. And no doubt the R remap will be avaialble soon with another 50-60bhp :) :)
  14. I used a 22mm ring spanner and ground the edges off just to give the clearance to slip in :D
  15. Decided going to get my finger out and get the Corrado on the road. Started today by putting the battery on a charge---------well its a start
  16. Hopefully I will get to the Muirkirk leg.As I`m only 15 miles away it would be rude not to Might even have the Corrado back on the road for it :)
  17. Dont see any pics of the petrol tanker in the background anywhere :D :D Good luck if you are going to use that daily. Make sure you have a Nectar card or similar (youre going to earn lots of points) :D :D NIce car passes everthing but a petrol station :D :D :D
  18. It really depends on the overall condition of the car and what you intend asking for it. If for example the rest of the car is fairly mint with low miles and full service history. You want £5k for it then take off the £500 for body repairs and try to sell it that way, but point out the faults in your ad. If its going to be up for£2.5k then its difficult to justify spending £500 on bodywork only to get half of your money back on them! The way prices are just now you are going to take a big hit whatever you decide. better off just keeping it and ride out the price crash!! :) :)
  19. Mine has done 68k :) However since buying it last September it hasnt turned a wheel. I was into bikes and decided to get rid of the bikes and fill my empty garage space with a Corrado instead :? Its now just there and I know I will keep it and use it and restore it when I can. Thinking of taking in a big road trip this summer from John o Groats to Lands End,but will wait and see what happens 8) 8)
  20. I`m going to try a Bugatti Veyron and see how much they offer :D :D

  22. £50 a panel is normal price :)
