1. sure, will measure up once sold and out from under the pile of parts
2. only picture I have at the moment is this. I'll try and get more but its under allot of other parts. Haldex and brackets arent included.
3. Hi Doug It's not my typical journey and dont really have time spare to come that far out of my way. Let's hope your other posts have success locally. If not, at least you know I have some bits you need.
4. Ive got a Gearbox and transfer box and rear diff from an R32 you could borrow. Only issue Im just north of Peterborough. Plus no offence but would require a decent deposit to ensure your not going to run off with them.
5. No problem mate, its just that your asking price is higher that what I've seen them go for on here recently. I sold mine a while back for £70 inc delivery with allen key and keys. It may be that these are getting hard to come by and the prices are going back up. Just don't want you to advertise for ages with no luck. All the best though. James, FYI if you go into the locksmiths they can make keys up for the locks too
6. cdem may be still wanting to swap.
7. Entirely your choice on your asking price but I think your asking a bit much: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?79000-VAG-Roof-Rack-Bars-Windsurfer-holder&highlight=roof+rack
8. Hey Troy, I still cant reply to PM's but having given some careful thought I will un-fortunately be passing on these. The decision was based on, syncro setup, not being v3's and mostly funds. Sorry, all the very best with the sale though.
9. yes mate. Its fitted with the Dutch Dub brackets and is £350. Looking to upgrade from Syncro?
10. fuel lift pump? does the fuel pump sound noisy?
11. Hi Troy, Ive reached my PM quota and cant message you. But when do you think youll be passing through Peterborough? Funds are tight (as always lol) but Ill try and make a decision before you go past.
12. wiki has a how to instruction manual. i know as i put it together and took feckin ages. fyi, the definitive guide is no longer a definitive guide.
13. I was messing Wendy. Ill see if I can make it. thanks for the invite
14. i have one of these but also the s shaped hose that can be used to replace the part.
15. If it is the chains, here are the wiki links to what's involved in doing the work. http://wiki.the-corrado.net/vr6_clutch_and_timing_chains_replacement_part_1.html http://wiki.the-corrado.net/vr6_clutch_and_timing_chains_replacement_part_2.html hence the involved costs as its not a simple job. If you want to do it cheap, fancy giving it a try your self? lol
16. Aren't the Peterborough group expected? I wont make it as the rado is to be kept off the road until the weather gets better. But there are a few rado's around here (I know of at least 6 in the area)
17. Hi Graphite, I'm truly tempted but been wanting to go for the Var3 so I'm debating to save up for them or go for yours. Plus Im going to be doing a syncro conversion so the rears of these wont be compatible as they will be too long which makes it even more difficult for me to make a decission One comment though, when you say the best equivalent would probably be the PSS9's. I thought they were fully compression and rebound adjustable unlike yours which are fixed uprated.
18. as robrado said, mine often does this and just needs a slight tap on the starter
19. Paid for mine :smug: ---------- Post added at 12:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:24 PM ---------- Meant to say, the standard VR bonnet is about 17kg, I used to have a carbon and fibreglass bonnet and that weight 7kg so saved me 10kg in weight! Now Im getting a full carbon version I might save 1 or 2 more kg's so probably 12kg saving.
20. Hate to say it but you wont get anywhere. You could end up spending a fortune in time and money trying to prove they messed up. But here are my comments if you want to try. The hole can be checked for fatigue fractures to indicate if it occurred due to over loading ie something pushed against it or due to long term wear. (do you have the piece that broke off too? Show us the area of failure as its hard to say if its a weak point of the head. I would ask them to indicate why the non OEM servicing would have caused this failure. Maybe even tell them that the cylinder head has been inspected by a materials lab (it may nudge them to change the cambelt) I do feel for you mate, I would be proper miffed at it as I wouldn't have confidence in the engine either. My personal opinion, take the head back, bull**** them about the head having been checked and you have evidence suggesting a foreign object had caused the hole. Get your money back for the cylinder head and see if theyll do the belt change. Bonus if they do, if they dont "accidentally" the head on their nice show room floor tiles and cut your losses. TBH, I don't trust any main dealer. Independent specialists give you a better service in my experience.
21. Just sent you an email then. No real rush as once Ive bought this I need to save up for it to be painted up.
22. still have bits that I wish to clear out
