Yes, I have fitted 2 now. The GSF was a pile of sh*te as it was tooth shatteringly stiff. As for lifting, I used a trolley jack on a couple of bricks and lifted the engine on the block lip at the front. The mount will come out - after a bit of wiggling and manipulation... Dead easy.

Try a Gliptone Scuffmaster repair kit See:http://www.liquidleather.com/

I've just had a refund from ARZ as mine have been on order for nearly 8 weeks. They are out of stock and they don't know when the next shipment is due.
-
Would you recommend I mask off the reverse lights before painting to retain a more OEM look?
-
Thanks it's deffo smoked for me! I'm pretty handy at these sort of this so I'll give it a go. I'll post the results over the weekend.
-
Thanks, I'll get some on order.
-
I think yoo are right... I originally bought some smoked rears from ARZ, but after 7 weeks of them not showing, I've had a refund. Nipped down my local Halfauds yesterday and they told me they don't do tinting spray so where should I go for it?
-
Thanks, Can anybody wield their magic paintbrush on this? Smoked and red??? Thanks
-
As the title suggests, I'm unsure as to which colour to go with. Red or Smoked? Does any body have a rear end piccie  to help me decide? Thanks

CaiosG60 PWR TVR Cerbera - New SS Exhaust P5
Kick Up The Rs replied to CaiosG60 PWR's topic in Members Gallery
Me and my big mouth, sorry er Keyboard. There is a later set of slave seals available which should prevent this. By the way as your car started as a 4.2, which clutch does it have? IIRC the 4.5 clutch came with the bigger bellhousing and a different slave cylinder which rectified the weak seal issue. The easy way to know if you've got the later or earlier clutch is whether you get any drivetrain vibration or resonance in 3rd gear which is an indication of the earlier 4.2 clutch. And don't worry, I've been there! -
Do a search as I did a calculation for the resistor somewhere.

OK, I'll have to put a damper on things:- It will leak oil - silicone sealant for a sump gasket isn't ideal. Bits of trim will fall off. The window control unit (housed in a Maplin black ABS box on top of the fuel tank beneath the Velcro strip) will fail. The clutch slave cylinder seals will fail and it's a gearbox out jobby as the slave cylinder is inside the bellhousing due to clearance issues. And everyone will recognise the upside-down Fiesta rear lights not to mention the C wing mirrors! I had to say these things to give me a reality check. That said, I've spent more money & time on my C in the last 12 months than I did on my Cerb in about the same time. AND I got back what I paid for my Cerb when I sold it. B****r, I want another... -
CaiosG60 PWR TVR Cerbera - New SS Exhaust P5

Yeah, The early 4.2 's were even worse as they had the 'clatter cams' which made it sound like a bag of spanners even whem warm. The less aggressive cams fitted to the later 4.2s and all 4.5s certainly helped. Funnily enough, I have been working in Park Lane, London today and I had to pass the TVR garage to get the place where I was working. Perhaps another TVR may be on the cards - who knows! Anybody fancy a well sorted & low mileage G60????! -

Love the Cerb. Makes me want another one just looking at it. Had a 98 4.2 which was absolutely awesome. The only reason I sold was I didn't trust myself with my precious little ones in the back - roll cage or no roll cage. Used to love holding it above idle on a cold start to give it a chance tick over properly before reversing out of the garage. Not a very elegent engine the AJP - loads of piston slap when cold, but wait for that oil pressure to drop and hey presto.... It used to eat throttle pots too, but that's OK as they were Ford units! An amazing car which, to be honest can be bought for new Ford Focus money... thats what I used to tell everyone who thought I was on a film star salary! Enjoy it, you deserve it! -
My G60 New wheels, new camera so new piccies

Just a few more pictures as I’ve had the car for nearly 12 months now. Highlights: Weitec Ultra GT lowering kit Uprated headlamps Rebuilt & ported super charger courtesy of G-Werks RSR Centre console dials Waxoyld chassis A couple of rear engine mounts - GSF replacement just too harsh. Repainted brake calipers black as the previous Hammerited metallic gold / yellow was just too much for me. Lots of other little details too, but nothing spectacular. To come: Tinted rear lights from ARZ tuning - only been on order for 4 weeks... Supersprint exhaust system sitting in my garage. I also need to invert the output of the low oil pressure switch from the dual pressure sender as 360-006 VDO unit is opposite to the original VAG switch. Going to put a relay just behind the fuse box to achieve this. Sorry about the poor pics by the way - a new camera is called for! -
I've got the -40mm 4 cyl kit on my G60 and it's not too low. If anything I couldn't get it low enough on the back, even on the lowest cup position. Will get my arse in gear and take some photos and update my galery tomorrow.
-
I have the Weitec Ultra GT set up from G-Works and it is spot on. Not harsh at all, no unwanted vibrations rattles or teeth chattering and the car handles like a go-kart around corners. I've driven lots of cars with uprated suspension and without doubt, this kit is one of the best.

The definitive "what exhaust?" discussion thread!

Well I've just picked up a 2nd hand Supersprint off the Bay of Fleas. Only after giving it a good wire brushing prior to a fresh coat of paint I noticed there were a couple of rust holes, one on each box underneath the stainless plates which give the model no. etc. Looked like water had trapped between the plate and outer casing. Anyway, a spot of welding (a couple of rectangle patches) and £20 later they look as good as new. Looking fwd to fitting it this weekrnd -
Well, I ordered mine about a month ago from ARZ & still nowt despite promises from them that they would be shipped last week. Anybody else waiting on these???

Lion Garage - Leicester. Have you used them?
Kick Up The Rs replied to DEL VR6's topic in Suppliers Forum
I use the one in Loughborough. Very good, but they stay on the straight and narrow when it comes to mod's etc. I asked them to fit a pair of reprofiled cams in my old V6 Coupe but they wouldn't enterain it. Good workmanship and prices for the routine stuff though, especially if you want your sevice book stamped! -
Well spotted - the 0 -10 bar in no good for me :( Looks like I'm gonna have to get ripped off on the bay of fleas for the 0-5 bar unit... Anybody have one or know of any body who might have one up for grabs before I put a wanted ad out?
-
Does anybody know if the 0-5bar oil pressure sender (T11) from VAGarts.co.uk is the dual unit also giving me low oil pressure? They didn't have any in stock when I called so they couldn't tell me. At £17 or so quid it looks excellent value considering a 2nd hand one went on Ebay for £34 yesterday! Cheers.

It took me 3 or 4 gentle reminders to get my bits. Although one bit he sent was the wrong part and he said he didn't have the bit I'd originally asked for. Thought about asking for my money back but I think I'm just too laid back though.
