  1. Price you pay = how long is a piece of string. There's a £10k storm for sale at the moment and I seem to remember a couple changing hands for less than £2k in the last year...... Prices of VR's seem to be all over the place at present.
  2. Discs are only 8mm bigger but the pad area is considerably larger. It's still quite 'spongy' but you get a lot less fade under heavy braking.
  3. Do a search for 288 or 312 upgrade.....there's tons of threads on it :D
  4. I blame the global credit crunch
  5. Just push the wiper arm back to turn on and push it again to turn off :D
  6. Isn't there a shell for £75 in the 'For Sale' section???
  7. I'd be inclined to agree.....coolant and water pissing all over the engine bay caused havoc on mine for a couple of days after the hose burst. When the sun shines again (If??) leave it all to dry out and then try again.
  8. The guys commentary in the Z4..........legendary! Swallow my f*****G nob!!!
  9. Sorry, just re-read your post. Think we're talking about different things....
  10. Do you mean the linkage that comes off the motor and connects to the drivers side wiper??? If so, just remove there's a plastic collar on the inside - knock that out with a screwdriver and hook it back onto the wipers. It makes a bit of a clunk when wiping the windows but it will suffice until you can get a complete new linkage :D
  11. Good to hear fella, next thing to check will be your engine mounts. I've snapped said hose twice as I can't be bothered changing the sloppy engine mounts. It will get done.......one day :D

    Glovebox

I found the easiest way to do it is with two people, one pushing the bottom of the glovebox up and the other pulling it out from the front. Came out first time for me....
  13. Not here mate, blue skies* for most of the day :D *dotted with thick black cloud..
  14. Before you assume the worst, check the coolant hose that comes out the back of the head and into the matrix. It's quite a common problem, mine went and I assumed HG....but thankfully it wasn't :)
  15. Did you also get new engine mounts with the new engine?? Sloppy mounts means the hose in question will move more than it should and hence burst.
  16. Somewhat - you can see the torquesteer pulling it to the left all the way through!!!!! Wouldn't mind having a rip in it though.........provided it was down a strip
  17. I can vouch for all of the above - I covered 300 odd miles with mine on and no problems :D
  18. And she's appears to have huge hands....
  19. I found the original extended warranty for mine the other day from the first owner (a doctor) and he paid £21,890 on 02/08/1992. It also states that my car was originally registered on a J plate although it looks like a private plate. Anyone know of any J plate VR's - I have heard that there are some in existence.......?
