hello Dr Forinor, chris p on here has a complete vr6 rear axle assembly and it looks ok, the only problem being he is down the south of england, that said, i`m going to be in edinburgh and glasgow in a week or so`s time.......if you want it i can bring it up to scotland and you can collect from me ( i`ll be up there for 2 - 3 days ) EDIT - i`ve just pm`d chris p to see if he still has it

ReekieVR, hate to say it mate but the sub and amp are not going to cut it !!! you are really throwing money away, i`ve got a matched kenwood 10" sub and amp ( 450w ) c/w a ported box, it`s something i`ve inherited from an old car and i dont want it , nowt wrong with it tho....seeing as i`m in a good mood you can have it for £30 .. total bargain, and the best bit is that i will be in edinburgh in about a week or so no postage to worry about.... just an option for you mate, give us a pm if your interested :thumbleft:

the majority of people ( me included ) who sell their C end up regretting it, stick with it mate, you got a rather unique motor and becoming rarer as time passes, at least you kinda know the score with the motor you got :thumbleft:

i usually run a common earth from the battery to pick up both my amps, ( to eliminate noise ) you should be able to earth in the boot but make sure the the main earthing points in the engine bay are good and clean

i`ve got a kenwood 450w sub amp going cheap if yer interested fella ? where you from if you dont mind me asking

have you tried running your earth back to the battery ?

a couple of things.......the amp may have either 1) activated thermal protection - let it cool 2) it may cut out if the input voltage drops below a set level 3) it`s goosed......cant find a web site for saga but ebay show them as cheapo units...might be time to up grade ...i`m assuming you havent blown the speakers...may be wise to test with another speaker just for output

mine was originally bought in wakefield up yorkshire way ( still got original bill of sale ) but private plate indicates portsmouth area....it travelled to south wales then came to the sunny south for a well earned holiday EDIT ... yep, sorry mate, forgot to put the mileage in, never mind eh, hope yer back gets better mate

not such a bad thing..... i tend to find ecp better than gsf generally. service and stock levels down here is better from ecp 8)
