i`m sure he`ll be able to sort it for you fella, he seems quite clued up :thumbleft:
-
your not stupid fella, you probaly need to get the wheels alignment checked ( 4 wheel preferably) and make sure the toe in / toe out are ok and the camber and castor angles are ok
-
i`ve heard of them but couldnt vouch for them as i`ve never knowingly had them on a vehicle i own, sorry mate
-
looks like i slightly mis read your post PBSTORM, i`d say get your geometry checked over ....... asap fella
-
tyres can make a hell of a difference, i swopped some continental sport contact jobbies for pirelli p6000 and that transformed the ride completely for the better on my bora, sometimes i have noticed that it takes a little while for the tyre to `bed` in and slightly wear the squareness off the shoulder on the front tyres if that makes any sense :thumbleft:

it has gotten worse since i was a lad in the 70`s / 80`s, seems like violence is just another part of our `culture` more`s the pity
-
............. i was thinking of a dehum for the garage and i thought it was maybe a step too far, i`m glad it`s not just me then
-
i wouldnt do it will, standard cr is 10:1 on the vr, if you turbo the engine you will probaly have to lower the cr, it may well be a good idea to pm kev haywire and sound him out, he knows the score
-
nice one, i`ve always fancied being in the crowd 8)
-
 never mind timg60, , i`m sure that Timo. will be ok though, .......... just out of interest, have you seen those new wheel/tyre packages at south coast wheels  ......... only joking fella

you can check to see if the stickers are still in the boot loading area, usually stuck to the inside of the rear most panel, that can be a give away if they are missing ( on the odd occaision someone may have just removed them ), if the panel has been replaced then you will spot it straight away, it`s hard to replicate the factory finishing and harder still to make it look over 10 years old, HPI checks are going to cost, access to HPI checking isn`t for free unfortunately, maybe you could get the info from an insurance company ( why not your own insurers saying you are considering swopping cars )???? surely they would have the car flagged if it was a problem, might be worth a try or a totally useless piece of info

nice one peteoates2002, thanks for the info and putting yourself out mate

......... expensive panic over then 8) -
i had eibach springs all round and had the same effect, i personally dont know of any kits that give a more even ride height but i`m sure someone soon will, i just ditched mine for a set of coilovers :thumbleft:
-
............ i can see the arguments about the kerbed alloys already  ........only kidding mate, i`m sure everything will be ok :reindeer:
-
looking good mr Stone0311, the only trouble is knowing where to stop, i`ve got so carried away that i`ve had to try and find another c to drive about in whilst my vr is under going a bit of tlc :-P
-
might be a wise move fella, i`ll expect to have a newbie describing the " problems he`s having with his new c and could it be the charger " in the very near future
-
got the same crap attitude at mercedes too, i couldnt get the salesman to sell me a new van !!!!!!, because i wasnt dhl or a large concern he couldnt be bothered to do a fair deal with me, the service department wanted to charge £13  to change stop/side bulb whilst it was IN for a service, can you believe it ... excellent vehicles marred by anger inducing muppetry / arogance .... i do all the service / repairs my self these days
-
........... might be an idea to have more of a look around, i`d definately would want to keep £500 back for the enivitable rebuild on the charger, might not need it now but it will sooner rather than later tbh, the charger history is a bit vauge, i`d take it as a warning :rabiit:

the mind boggles  ..... as if your current creation wasnt special enough 8) -
looks nice, love the colour, better luck with this one fella :thumbleft: i`m tempted myself :norty: ..... but i wont tho
-
never mind fella, :offtopic1: i see you`ve sold your C, i was interested as it goes, i was hoping you were going to bring it to the cornwall meet but you brought that `datsun` instead
-
yep, looks ok from the photo, i would be a little cautious about the vaugness on the charger, from the items the guy has been selling on ebay i`d probaly say he wasnt neccesarily a dealer but i think he probaly knows the score, it looks ok like i say and the price is ok, at the end of the day i`d want to go have a look or at least request a few more decent pics, it`s a long way from brum thats for sure ..... the mileage is of concern of course but if it`s been well maintained then there is no reason it wont go on for a while yet
-
......well thats gonna knock a grand off  it looks like a nice car from the pics on show, as you`ll probaly be aware that prices can vary quite noticeably i`d be tempted to stick it in at the £3200 mark and see what happens
-
might be a good idea to post a few pics fella :thumbleft:
