How to get head off with ARP studs need serious help
gaz the geezer replied to Bobert healetty's topic in Engine Bay
i wouldnt worry about hoses, you might well have to reconnect a few of the sensor wires if they inhibite the starter motor, i`d put on the bare minimum and see how you go. despite the cracked distributor, i take it the engine could be turned over ok ? after all, you dont really want it to start anyhow, all you need is the motive force of the pistons with a bit of oil to "hydraulic" the head off, it`s very important not to put too much oil in in case it causes any lasting damage but it should work, start with a small amount and see how you go, i take it the studs are a tight fit with the drillings in the head bobert ? -
excelent site, got loads on the corrado if you sniff about . bookmarked :thumbleft:

didnt know that, probaly explains why gsf spent a lot of time getting the right parts, they had to give it a couple of goes to get a matching pair :thumbleft:

the car in standard fettle would be around the 190 mark, i`ve no idea if the mods you propose would take it over the 200 mark, but i`m sure someone will come along shortly and tell ya

.........how longs a piece of string, you can end up paying up to and over the £1000 mark depending on wether they are heated or electric adjusting, seen leathers go for £300....and go for £1200, just a matter of keepin an eye out for the bargains

they seem to crop up regular enough, here and ebay would be a good place to start searching....and yes, straight forward job to do.

best of luck mate with your new purchase, i`m sure we`ll be hearing from you soon enough once you start weilding the spanners :thumbleft:

there is only a minor difference, the glass is definately different as i found out when i replaced both lots of glass, they ( gsf ) managed to give me one of each type and i didnt really notice until i put it on and found the black trim that goes around the headlamp doesnt quite fit properly ( mine is a 93 by the way ), the earlier glass sits recessed behind the trim, hope that is some help :thumbleft:

Do your passengers ever get you angry?
gaz the geezer replied to joebloggsVR69's topic in General Car Chat
......to me, the corrado is my bit of space where i can listen to music at the volume i prefer without having to upset the ( w*nky ) neighbours, i can take my car any place and just pull over somewhere quiet and have a moments reflection after a sh**e day and if i leave something in my car i can guarentee i`ll find it where i left it.......all these things cant happen at home with all the distractions of family life, i rarely get to watch programmes on tv without having to tell someone repeatedly to shut up ( if i can find the remote that is ) ....so when i`m in me corrado i like it to be how i want it and consider it trespass when someone else doesnt respect my little bit of space. After just reading this through i sound like a right nut case ,but there you go, honest if nothing else  -
hello delfinis, welcome to the forum, if you check out the knowledge base and go for sub section drivetrain you will find info on removing the rear axle
