with over 8,000 songs (nearly 600 albums!) on mine so far (and not even half full yet!) I can "rock out" to what ever the hell I feel like 8) (and no, there's no chris rear on my head unit... )

IF you can get someone impartial to verify the claimed value... That's where my agreed value on J-DUB went pear shaped...
-
and they're fitted... 8) Well, I was wrong... Pearl Gray with smoked lights looks EXCELLENT... 8) Well Chuffed! :)
-
I'll lock this to stop any confusion... 8)

I'm in the same boat (although not for 15K! ) so I'm interested in this one too... 8)

Cool! Talk about going multi-national! :D 8) Welcome to The Forum... 8)

yup, seen these too Roger... never used 'em but heard they're OK... 8)

A solid/fixed/locked diff will eat tyres on the street and make cornering (especially at low speed) somewhat interesting... :| With 250BHP, just fit the VR6 standard clutch... J-DUB was running about that kinda power and had no problems getting down onto the ground through the VR6 clutch, 1st and 2nd gears and Quaife Diff. Spend some money on some lightweight wheels and slick tyres thought, and that'll help you get the grip through the Quaife diff loads better.... 8) Stealth charge around £1200 for a gearbox rebuild with Diff and if you've already got the VR6 gears they'll lob 'em in while it's in bits... 8)

I've already got hold of one, I just need to get some time to do all the little jobs which need doing to her... :| Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated... 8) :thumb right:

I got mine from Maplins, (I get discounts there ;) ) but there's a few places around the country that sells 'em... http://www.dension.com has details of their retailers... ;)

yup... I think the end conclusion was that you may need both a white and a green bulb in there so that you get both red and green light coming through the filter... I gave up and just bought some FKs...

in that case the cable's snapped... :| You need a new one from VAG. They're held on at the gearbox end (on top of the Diff) by either one or two 10mm headed bolts. BE VERY CAREFUL as you remove it, as there's a big corkscrew style gear on the end of the cable which you will probably need again and they're relatively easy to knock off and into your gearbox requiring a strip down! :? I've never fitted one to a Corrado (mine have all been digital dash versions) but from doing them on other VWs, it shouldn't be too much of a drama to fit it. I'd guess it passes from the engine bay into the dash area rather than the other way around...

Si B, that's the way I did mine too... 8) (didn't trim the thread though, good idea... 8) )

Look at tri-colour LEDs... Red only = red light. Green only = Green light. Red AND Green = Amber light... 8)

WOO HOO! They're heeeeeerrrreeeeee!!!! 8) 8) 8) Glad I brought some tools to work this morning... I can see these being fitted at Lunchtime! :D 8) Thanks Tempest, Absolutely fantastic! 8)

Worst that can happen just sticking nitrous onto a car? Melted pistons, knackered crank and a damaged block resulting in a locked up engine which would screw the gearbox if it happened at speed possibly causing you to crash and kill someone which would end up with you banned and in prison 'cos your insurance would be void 'cos of the nitrous... :| You did ask... :| Oh, and it's COrrado (not carrado)... Several people here do run Nitrous kits on their cars with good results, however most have done some pretty major overhauls on their engines first, or have low milage cars to start with... :|

give it a full service using good quality parts, fit a K&N panel filter and make sure it's all running properly. Or, if you're any good with spanners yourself, get hold of a 2.0 bottom end for it which you should be able to rebuild and swap over for around £500 doing it nicely yourself... 8)

the Milltek on my new G60 is quieter than the standard system J-DUB came with... :| (it's also slightly quieter than my custom made jobbie which replaced the standard one on J-DUB)

I'm always dubious about car inspectors who say that the car has more miles on it than the speedo reads... Unless there's an obvious discrepency on the MOTs then there's no way to tell how many miles a car has, or has not done... Take J-DUB for example, most people who saw her at shows in 2004 thought that the 130K on the clock was about right... the fact she had 250+K miles on her shocked quite a few people (including myself! ) At the end of the day, they are there on behalf of the buyer and are gonna advise not buying any car they have even a slight disliking of so that they don't get sued if they've missed anything... :|

I was wearing my long leather jacket and oakley's too! Oh, and I was buying a set of Kenwood radio removing tools too! My manager was there with me too which spoilt the image slightly, although he was absolutely laughing his socks off when we got to the till!

get as many autotrader and other adverts as possible together. Add in all the receipts and photos you can get hold of for the car and write a letter to the insurance company telling them that you are not going to accept that offer and to come back with something more reasonable... Insurance companies will always try it on with the first offer in case they find someone a little green who will accept it...
