I've just swapped the one off J-DUB onto the grey one after it cracked, so I KNOW it's possible on the G60 (and valvers)... ;) If it's the 90degree bend with 2 10mm headed bolts either side of it (kinda diagonally across it) like on a G60/valver, then Yes, you can get them from VW pretty cheaply, but don't forget to buy a new O ring too else it'll leak even worse!

could be engine/gearbox mounts or a dodgy clutch fitment... :| Crunching could be to do with the gear cable setup not being quite right... :|
-
at least it looks like it's been done properly... If he's happy with it, then cool, it's his car, and if he likes it, then all kudos to him... 8)

clutch is a 3 piece kit on ALL corrados (unless it's different in some of the 4x4 ones people are building... ) and you need to change all 3 parts when you change the clutch... It's pretty much the same amount of a pain in the ass to do the clutch on any corrado as the gearbox has to some out to do it, so a decent garage is needed with either a pit or a set of ramps... Shouldn't take more than 2 hours to do though, and the clutch kits cost £83 from Euro car parts for a Sachs one... 8)

nope, the lock set for a Corrado is different Supercharged, You can buy the lock barrels for the doors and glovebox seperately, but the boot lock and ignition lock need to be changed as complete items... If you buy ONE first (I suggest ignition) and get the key number off the brand new keys which come with it, you can then order the boot lock and door/glovebox barrels to match that key... ;) I think the barrels are about £12 each, the boot lock is about £25 and the steering lock is about £45... I did this on J-DUB...

possibly after component front speakers, standard rear (6"x4") and a 4 channel amp depending on prices... 8)

I fitted it last night... Mmmmmm... damn, it's good! 8) The menu system is a doddle to use, the file navigation is as good as your filing/naming scheme is (in my case, pretty damned organised! ) and the sound is great! Sounds better than the CD player that was in the car before (but then, I never have liked Kenwood stereos) Well happy with this! 8)

I only found that there was an increase in wind noise when the interior panel was open (so you could see out of the glass)... When it's closed, I actually thought it was quieter than the standard steel sunroof... 8)

yup, take the arm off and fit the new punto one on in it's place. To make it lay flat, you need to remove the mechanism arm from the motor (inside the boot lid) and rotate it by 180degrees. This should move the arm to the lay flat position. You can then adjust it so that it sits perfectly flat by removing the wiper arm and re-fitting it.... 8) It's dead simple to do, and shouldn't take more than an hour... 8)

not my cuppa tea at all.... :|

yup, make sure it IS the down pipe before committing to doing it 'cos it's a real bi*ch of a job... :|
-
it'll be the sensor... IIRC they're about £8 from VAG... 8)

yup, that's the engine in J-DUB at the moment which will be swapped over into my new Grey C soon and have a few tweeks done to it at the same time... ;) 8) I change both my sig and my avatar quite a bit as I get bored... 8) I'd never gold plate any parts of my engine though... no point, everything on my engine was for a specific purpose, and it was all spotless 'cos it was brand new. 8)

when the headmaster writes his passwords down and then leaves them in the computer room, it's just asking to be taken advantage of... I still protest my innocence though... someone else beat me to it...

Bet you wouldn't get any lag on it if you're sat at redline when the lights go green.... ;)
-
dead earth, broken wire or loose connection on the back of the cluster... Worth checking the connector first before you try anything else though... ;)
-
I'm with Dr_"I can't make up my mind what I want to be called today" Mat on this one... If the engine revs go up while you're in gear and you don't accelerate, your clutch is slipping. Time for a new clutch... :|
-
it'll only fit one way... you'll know it's wrong when you try and put the housing on and realise it won't fit! ;)
-
erm, what engine? what milage? Could be anything from the standard leaky plastic flanges on the head of a G60 through to a complete head gasket failure or cracked block... Without any details, it is, as you say, impossible to say... :|

vr6 = 18 (storm = 19) 16V 2.0 = 16 or 17 depending on company

yup... 'nuff sed....

yeah, they're easy to get at and easy to swap over... just make sure you're not smoking, the engine's cold and the battery isn't connected when you do change 'em so you don't end up as a fireball.... :onfire:
-
that's just silly.... Bet it goes like stink though... V6 with a sodding big turbo in a car which looks to weigh sod all too! Bet it doesn't go around corners though! ;)

erm, am I the only one wondering why?!? :?

Frak! Now there was a game! And I still don't think there's been a game to rival the BBC B's version of Elite... 8) I'm an Ex-BBC B programmer too... until I got banned from the school computer room for alledgedly breaking into the Headmaster's user account and taking away all of the privaledges from the teacher so he couldn't do anything... They never proved anything though... ;) I did quite a bit of C programming at University, but couldn't have done it for a living as I'd have gone mad (ok, more mad than I already have gone ) I'm quite happy with my career in Radio... I get to play with some cool toys, work with some cool (and sometimes famous) people in a nice relaxed environment and still get my hands on the IT kit at times when needed... 8)
