Will start to get head off later, found a place to test pressure and cracks. I'd be pretty upset if it was cracked.

Looking for somebody to take this as a project maybe now. I've had some of the welding that was required done but not all, still a bit to do. I would like to keep some bits for bit my other rado. Like the steering wheel maybe and the exhaust if I can get it out. Its got no tax/mot and doesn't start currently but I may of taken some parts from it to get my other car going. If anyone is interested in it, let me know or somebody that has time and can break it maybe. Would need to be trailered away this was the rust found when I took the rear bumper off. This Section has been replaced with one off a breaker and its a pretty tidy job Arch and inner arch has been cut out but more work is required here and the sill

Need to get a metal gasket I think. Any available from mk3 abf?

Bought a block tester kit and it's conclusive that there combustion gases in the coolant. Head gasket kaput. Very disappointed but was sure it was gone. Test has proved it.

I've not lived there myself but my aunty and uncle and cousins lived there for nearly 20 years, even before all the big development. I know that they loved it, Ive been there a few times. It's awesome and I would live there if I where offered a job but I don't think it's a long term thing, deffo do it if you can. Great experience, my uncle is now in Azerbaijan and my cousins and aunt are back in Wales but they do miss dubai. Do it!

I seem to have coolant spraying out the side of the tank under pressure. The coolant wasn't very hot. But I released the pressure by loosening the cap and the sprayed from the bottom hole on the right! Has the pressure burst the tank? If it has it was the second tank that done that.. Why is the pressure so high? Head problems?

its held on with a bit of metal that clips on.

cant seem to get oil temp that high, I'll try a thicker oil next. Could well be timing can check that next. cheers :)

sorted, I didnt know it was simply a nut on the inside, I thought it might be welded or part of it. I stuck a spanner on it and got it off lol. Dont remember the job being so much of a pain. The side with the tank on was such a pain to get out and then back in! arrrgggghh.. done now that got. well low now haha

Afternoon Fitting my coilovers at present. 3 down one to go. The rear right side is causing me a issue. The bottom bolt is loosened but not coming out, it's not snapped I don't think as I can feel the end of it spinning. Any ideas? Or what can I do? Thanks

I changed the head on my valver a few years ago now for a KR head, I bought it from here in the classifieds. It was refurbished with all new parts, ( I couldnt find the Pm between me and the seller so unsure who it was and what was done with it exactly) Anyway.. Even though it was fitted many years ago, its probably done under 200/300 miles, will this noise improve as its worn in? I does have a 4 branch and no foam under the bonnet so general noise is more but its definitely tappety. The oil is at the right level and I've changed it 2 since having the new head. I've also use a oil/smoke additive but the smoke has stopped to be honest. What do you think? Thanks :)

Also fitting coilovers whilst I look to solve the leak. Fitted one to the front and one to the back as I'm odd that way. The front coilover has solved the knocking issue which is nice. Realised that the bolts on the front shocks are 18mm amazed I never broke anything yesterday as I used 19mm on. Whoops
