I was thinking very similar there. I'd just buy a rust free 1.0 & do the g40 conversion. Bevis at pitstop had a cup engine & box (box needed a rebuild, but the charger had just been s4'ed) the other month for just over £1000, inc everything for the conversion . Surely for the budget you would get a better track car this way??

These little pricks do this cos they know they will never have a car as nice as yours without stealing it, or running drugs to buy one. They are 2 bloody thick to earn money like the rest of us, it all boils down to jealousy. People like this really get my back up! Any little prick gives it Charlie big potato's to me for no reason & he'll be gettin a headache from the metal bar under my seat! I loose it really quick when people start to out my car in some sort of danger. I don't really get that much sort of hassle where I live now (thank god!). I used to get more attention when I had my RS Turbo. I'm pretty sure they all though RS Turbo ment try to get in my boot. There is one particular guy locally who drives a golf vr, who takes it apon himself to roar up behind me everytime he see's go past. It was fun to play the 1st or 2nd time, but it just piss's me off now.

It has need known for people to put RS turbo engines in them. Easily made fast, especially in such a small car.

I can't leave my car alone. Today a trip to VW cost me £45. I picked up Lupo wipers, new exhaust bracket & a parcel shelf strap. Last month I changed the Head Unit & it had a new stainless exhaust, all super bright new head/fog light bulb jobbies. The month before that it had the charger serviced, new knock sensor, The month before that, it had 2 new tyres and poly bushes It's probably had more than that 2. Dam I feel skint now :(

Are the head light covers very expensive? Also will they fit with a head light eyebrow? & can you not get covers for the fogs/indicators?

Problem now sorted. After going to a different VW garage, and forcing the guy to enter the pn with the spaces between the necessary numbers like I told him the 4 time before!!! 2 x Driver Wiper arm & blade kits ordered! :D Just got to wait till Thursday now :roll: Nearly had to use Jim's technique! :wink:

Wiper Blade £8.43 +vat but have also found 6x2 998 406 should this be the arm & blade? just the arm? 2x Lupo GTI wiper arm and blade kits (part no. V6X2 998 406) £17.36+VAT from VAG? Confused :(

I've quoted the p/n for the lupo wipers to the guy at VW & he wants to know a year before ordering them? Aren't they all the same? what year should I be ordering?
