I can second that, been reading some really useful info on there today
-
Yeah, i'm really enjoying it. Got a few niggly problems like broken clips on things other than that its superb!!
-
Somthing about that item looks dodgy, dont know what it is but i'm always warey of people that talk that much before showing you the item

So is the 93 2l 16v not a 9a engine then? why is it there if its not needed? Sorry not trying to catch you out, just generally interested.......
-
you have to unscrew the connector from that lead, the loop will then come off from it.........you'll then need to do the same with the new lead to get the loop back on (hoping that the connectors will unscrew from the new set, if not your in trouble)
-
Indeed it is, 100%

Just spent the afternoon cleaning the C and was very pleased with the finish, so i thought i'd start my own gallery......

Well for such a simple and cheap job you might as well, will save future hassle

You've shorted out the resistor when soldering it on?? or the whole pack on the blower unit is shagged?? i've seen a couple of whole units on ebay recently
-
Yeah i would doubt it too but if you wanna change it just to be safe here's how http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm The fuses themselves you can get from maplin for about 70p each I would imagine that theres some sort of resistor in the back of the blower switch that might have gone funny?? I dont know the correct answer though
-
tis a good idea! will go well with my pink furry steering wheel cover and fluffy dice :geek:
-
But did any of these people who thought you'd broken in to the car actually confront you or get a security guard?? I would think not, might be wrong though
-
yeah cheers stan. The problem is that i'm drinking my home brew! Find a ruler or tape?? i couldn't even find my front door
-
cant see why not, but if you cant i always got the bosch silicone ones with a spoiler on for my last car. Still crap in heavy rain though! but then again better than the standard ones i've got on my C

http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/home.php?cat=706 What are the correct size's for all 3?
-
Yeah nice one there, really encouraging people to help you out in the future! Why does supercharged need to know what it is, to recommend it? All he needs to know is that its been recommended by someone else (darren by the looks of it in this case) and that its works well!! Whats the point in trying to catch people out on here, if you know what the thingamajig is then why are you posting the question???! We're all friends trying to spread our knowledge and just generally get along, its postings like that that really taint the air

Agreed, dont worry yet! Start with the easy stuff, check/change the sparkplugs, HT leads, dizzy cap, blast out the throttle body and ISV with carb cleaner and make sure you have no leaky hoses.

After a night on the beers the evening before :pukeright:
-
But then again the 16v is supposed to be around 10 seconds 0 -60
-
OK then, so whats the purpose of the servo one then? and does it matter which way round the pipes are connected?
-
Hi all, Was fiddling about in the engine bay before and heard a sucking noise when the engine was running, discovers a vacuum pipe that wasn't connected that ran behind the engine into a one way valve. Looking further I found it was supposed to the underside of the air intake pipe, where it joins the throttle body along with another pipe which goes to the air box. My questions are: 1. What is this pipe that goes into the one way valve? 2. What is the correct way round that the 2 pipes need to connect?? 3. What is the orange device that they plug into??? (Picture below) Many thanks
