they both will if you start your engine when warm and still ticking over see if you have a good airflow out the exhaust pipe, if itslow you have a blockage. when it dies undo the joint in front of the cat so its loose and restart. if it now runs fine (though noisey) try the next joint and so on till you find the blockage, though it probably is the cat. do you have a voltmeter, if so measure the voltage on the single wire at the lamnba probe plug, 4 together and 1 single, voltage should be between .1 & .9v constanly changing. rev up and should change rapidly and if it doesnt all is slow it needs changing

common fault is for the hall sender wires to short out and for the contacts in the plug to corrode. pull off the multi-plug and check all is clean and good. next remove cap, rotor and dust shield and look at the three wires that are in the base plate and see if any are cracked or splitting. if all is okay start her up and wiggle the plug and see if that stops the engine, if so new dizzy. if she cuts out when hot and doesnt restart for a while remove plug and check for a spark, if no spark, remove multi-plug from dizzy and put a piece of wire into the middle pin. now, whilst holding the coil lead close to a earth point with the ignition on, brush the wire to a earth point and if all is okay the lead will spark, and the injection pump will fire up briefly. hope this helps. The fuel filter on a G60 is another one of those things that VW never change on a service!-supercharged its designed to last 50,000 so is changed at 40,000 service. thats what we do at work , but personally i change mine yearly or 12000

what type of locking wheel nuts do you have as there is things available cheaply to help let me know or post a pic and will tell you if they will work, a kit of four is £25 about £9 indervidually

there is no electronic dumping only that the isv will only hold back a certain pressure before it blows past, and as the isv wears so the boost level it can withstand will be lower. this is when a check valve is a good idea

my girlfriend calls mine "the good blue one"

if you do one run then it could be a high or a low figure if somethings not quite right 2 runs shows an even figure
