Anyone made their own switchblade key with an OE immobiliser
exturbo2003 replied to stormseeker's topic in Engine Bay
the new switchblade can be programmed to your old immobiliser basically the new rolling code transponders will also do the old non rolling but not the other way round work charges half hour to recode you can do this with vagcom but you need a code from milten keynes and it only works for one day there is a date code in your brain which changes daily so part of the code does, its a mathmatical calculation of chassis number, immobiliser no and date -
had this happen on mine. if you remove the catch assembly you will notice where the rodin the door ataches to the catch is a black plastic connector that pushes on to a flat bar on the catch. this should have a shoulder that stays on the outside skin of the door between the catch and door skin. what happens is the sjhoulder breaks and moves allowing the unlock side to jam. if that doesnt make sense i can e-mail you the pics and part numbers

got a picture of the side and the key end

you need to get a oil pressure tester on it to see whats happening. two choices a main dealer with a full report and if the previous garage is at fault then take up the bill with them, should be helpfull if trading standards are threatened if needed  will check wireing diagrams tomorrow at work for you and let you know at lunch time, 1-2 sounds like you need a new garage. ps oil testers are about 125 if you wanna buy one -
the panels are £24 from the stealers

Rack why dont you use the the Audi UR caliper which are 2 pot. Trust me having more pots doesnt mean great massive breaking power lager disks means great stoping power. Like a racign drive said "i rather have 310mm single pot over 280 4 pot setup". just my 2p's worth on my escort i had 285mm disc's and started with 2 pot ford cossie calipers, they were good. then bought willwood, shit then 4 pot cossie calipers, wow much better then the 2 pots

have to agree with you

just thought it was well differant thats all

mine doesnt have ABS right most G60's dont support any data transfer as they need two 2 pin sockets at the gear lever. one is for transfer and one is for power. all VR6 have this function if anyone knows how to do a blink test on a G60 with only a black connector then please correct me, as i want to do mine

sorry supercharged that didnt work either

BHP/Torque gains for fast road cams and gas flowing head?
exturbo2003 replied to Leonard's topic in Engine Bay
if compression is down on one cylinder and its no6 it could be a prob. well known for losing rings on no6 ( though you nornally get oil fouling plugs as well) which means a rebore. my mate has done what you are doing to his golf vr6 and at stealth it made 205 bhp and stealth did the work -
no that didnt work either gonna try on another computer later

no it doesnt shoot up the only wierd thind is it only stopped when i changed the cam, but all the earths are on so dont know
