  1. Got pics, just been havin a sod of a time trying to post them!! I will see what i can do tomorrow night.
  2. Mine is still standard height, its way to high, whether on 15s or 17s definately agree with Cazza16v, 40mm drop at least!!!!! If you really want to go to factory height, PM me and i will measure the centre of the hub to the arch for you, bit late and to much :drinking: to even think of doing it now!!!!
  3. I've got these on my Black C, they look sweet, just waiting to get the suspension dropped to take the 4x4 look off it!
  4. Dr, I ended up bending the cold air feed straight and then bending it into a shape that suits the space to install it. Only other difference from the way I fitted mine, to yours, is I used the full length of (not very technical description) that piece of mecano, and bolted it onto the top of the suspension turret, there is already a bolt in there. Ran it under the connector cable for the MAF and then to the BMC with the clamp higher up the body of the canister, this has resulted in the mount being bent into tension a little, which seems to give almost no movement. Hope this helps. BTW excellent group buy, well worth the money in my opinion.
  5. Filled up today with Tesco Super, smiled all the way to the cash desk, first full tank of super under £60. At 96p a litre, its goin to win over Optimax at 103p a litre any day!!!! Car feels a little smoother, better acceleration I think, might just be in my head though!!
  6. double-6s you hit the nail on the head, went from the standard 15x6.5 up to 17x8s, look sweet, shame about the performance lost but the increase in traction it spectacular!!! Ohh well, off to the stealer, he'll be waiting with a mask and pistol again!!!! :brickwall: :( Flippin VR, only one choice in life a VR or money in you wallet.......VR wins every time!
  7. Thanks for the suggestion but, I was gettin the noise a little with my old speedlines on, with newish tyres, recently changed to new alloys and tyres, the noise seems to have been getting progressively worse with both the speedlines and the new Azevs on the car. Just wasn't quite as loud at first, thought it was the exhaust, but had that checked out and realigned the other day. Visually inspected the hubs when the new wheels were fitted no sign of anything untoward, brakes rubbing etc..... How hard and what sort of kit do I need to do the rear bearing, cos I work away from home for long periods, got the car with me but only minimal tools, hence the stealer/specialist question?????
  8. Done a search...still unsure.... I have been experiencing a humming/droning noise from what appears to be the rear of my VR6, it gets louder above about 30mph increasing with speed to the point it drowns out the engine and the induction noise of my BMC CDA!!!!! The noise remains when I dip the clutch at speed as well. I think it may be the wheel bearings but there is no play in the rear wheels, there is a slight noise when rotating the wheels by hand on both sides when up on jacks...... Any advice, and price of repairs at a stealer/specialist would be gratefully accepted, being as its booked into Stealth end of the month to get the suspension done, more expense is going to hurt??????
  9. LOL, I have the same problem, more of an issue though in the summer when its toasty hot!!!!!! :help:
  10. Just an odd poit i noticed my VR seems to drink 95 alot quicker than 97, anyone else noticed anything like this or is it just me??
  11. The windows on both sides rattle a bit, if they are down, when you shut the doors, more so on the passenger side though....
  12. Ok, I have tried the search and can't find anthing similar...... When I press the button for the drivers side window it goes half up, then if I press it again it slowly goes up to close, its been working fine up til yesterday, only noticed it because the total closure on the alarm only put the window up half way, then when I press the button it went up the rest of the way. Is there a limit switch or something?? Any Ideas anyone?
  13. Thx for the suggestions, but it would seem the after factory UK system is different to the factory fit..... dinkus: was hoping just to replace the thermal fuse....
  14. Hi I know there is alot of information on this subject, but not specifically to do with the Diavia blower motor.....(not that the aircon works but blowing would be nice!!!) I have striped out the glove box and passenger shelf, dismantled a few bits of the blower motor but cant find the resistor pack, anyone done this repair or know anyone who has????? Thx in advance :? :?: :?
  15. Hi I know there is alot of information on this topic on the forum, but still unsure and fairly new to this stuff.... The question is, will BBS RX alloys on 205-40-17 tyres, with the suspension lowered 40mm be ok, i.e no rubbing etc....????? Thx in advance.
