I've just had a monster of a leak after the monsoon rain last weekend. Always noticed a little wet patch in the rear passenger footwell after heavy rain, last weekend it migrated to the front passenger footwell in a little patch then after the really heavy rain overnight I had about an inch of water in the passenger side of the car. After some inspection, it turned out to be the inlet for the fresh air into the air con located in the scuttle, not the best designed vent, it only clips on in a wet area!!! A good load of roof and gutter sealent, no more puddles since. :D Worth checking out, confused me cos the puddle was always in the rear thought it was the sunroof or worse.

LOL thanks Phil K, my German was letting me down a little bit on that site!!! :D

Check out this site they've got loads of the random stuff thats hard to get hold off, I've used them for a full set of badges, all good quality and delivered quickly. Will be ordering loads of other replacements as time goes on, make all the rough bits new again. http://www.arz-tuning.de/

Not to start an arguement but Pug 205 GTis are quick, was having a wee ehem "race" with one up the dual carriageway the other day, I was always infront over about 2 mile till we hit a roundabout, trashed him round that.....but he was all over me most of the way... Big time shock for me, so much so I had a chat out the window with him at the lights about his car, much to the disapproval of the guy behind us... :)

LOL, Double-sided Velcro for me, no Chamois thou....

Bups thats what RS VR6 means, remember to change all the hoses, front and rear, otherwise it apparently puts more strain on the rubber hoses that are left. BTW The guys at stealth did my conversion yesterday, the difference is night and day. I push the pedal now and get almost an instant response, when I first test drove it I did the normal hard push for light braking and nearly did an emergency stop!!!!!!

VR brakes are poo, push the pedal, push it harder and hope to h*ll they decide to bite!!! Roll on next week, the 312s go on mine!!! :D

I think normally people do the chains around 100K, although some would say leave them till they need doing. Its around £750 to get the chains and clutch done at the same time professionally as far as I'm aware. I'm sure someone else will come along with more info shortly. Check out the serch as well, there is loads of info on this subject about.

Dunno if it helps or if they are any use, but I'll have a late VR (93) brake set up for sale in about a week or so. All in working order in Swindon area. PM me if its any use or check out the For Sale Section.

How do i know if i have an OBD1 or OBD2 VR engine
craziscot replied to ___Dubstar___'s topic in Engine Bay
In my limited knowledge, all corrado VRs are OBD1 as standard. Only varies if they have had thier ECU and wiring replaced with a later OBD2 setup. The search does have loads of information on this. Give it a try its solved loads of my problems. -
Mine does this as well, its a regular pain in the a**. I find it happens less if you don't shut the door with the window down, that is if you have total closure etc....
-
Would deffinatly intrested in a GB price for these.

I know this has pretty much been answered but I'm running that set up...... I'm dropped 30mm on Koni/H&R got 8x17 & ET35 with 205/40/17s, not a single bit of rubbing, and no arch mods. They fill out the arches well and the 205s streched looks spot on.

I'd be in on this if its still a go'er???

Got the after market Diavia system in mine, needs seviced, regassed, fixed, blower only works on 4 and the place where the thermal resistor should be, doesn't appear to be there!!!! Blooming typical, aftermarket = whatever they could find and throw together!! Would be better is the dam thing wasn't there at all, just dead weight!!!!!!! One other thing, remember that an aftermarket system will require the whole dash removed etc...Very good chance of rattles etc afterward, and thats if they manage to remove everything with out bursting it!!

Got my loom from E-bay, all waterproof (hmm time will tell) either way making something electrical fully waterproof with the kit supplied with these looms is not really going to happen!! I think we're all expecting a little bit much! The sort of things required are specialist sealed boxes with suitable rubber seals etc.....thought about trying to find something, but settled for the old wrap in heavy plastic and duck tape (is there anything you can't do with that stuff!!!) Either way water will normally find some way in to most things that are in an exposed area, thats why all this sort of kit, relays & fuses, are normally in the passenger compartment under the dash where its warm and dry.

OMG my eyes they burn with this abomination!!!!!

Trust me guys, seen these in the flesh on OSV's rado, they look the muts dangly bits!!!! Think its more a case that some rados don't do those wheels any justice!! Which the pics don't either.

Tell me about it! Mine has a full stealer history as well, dunno that it will continue.. I would have given it a shot myself, but I am working away from home, not got much in the way of tools with me! :(
-
Took the C down to the stealer today, took it in and as suspected the rear passenger bearing was shot...... Went to collect it and OMG £160    Before you ask thats ONE bearing and diagnostic and fitting time!!!!! What a bargan, NOT!! They should be behind that service desk with a mask and gun!!!
-
Lol Neil, never thought of that one!
-
