I also have a complete jetta grille conversion from R&A design from a while ago it is the 3 bar badgless with grille spoiler cost like 200 quid and never used it if anyone is interested 60 quid + P+P

I have found the best standard clutch is an LUK item it cost 73 quid and it with stood the punishment of 3 years of abuse from me ie countless high revving launches at santa pod. Now that I ve got it out it looks as if it needs changing so I am going to change it before I put the engine back together. I highly recomend the LUK clutch as being one of the best std clutches around!

ridgeway racing do an exchange basis lightened flywheel for 80 quid which is very reasonable I think!! cant remember their web address off hand but I'm sure someone here will point it out for you!

mk2 gti 8v or mk3 8v rocker gaskets will do the trick I do the nuts in the smae sequence as you would do with the head bolts the 4 centre bolts first doing opposites so back centre left then front centre right then back centre right and so on the the 4 outer nuts also in opposites, If I recall correctly they should be done upto 15ib of torque no need for instant gasket as the rubber gaskets are excellent the bolt holes in them have little metal spacers so you cant compress the gasket too much. Easy job in all take about 10 mins and only cost ya 5 quid genuine

I now run toyo proxes and they are superb in both wet and dry conditions I used to run avon zz3's and they were of no comparison to the toyo's I dont know what the 539's are like but have had yoko a520's before and found that they were good in the dry but crap in the wet and coz they were a soft compound tyre they only lasted 8k.

I saw one of these kits being used at a lax power show a couple of years ago it was shite furk the you have to raise the bucket above your car for it actually to work ( who wants to hold a bucket above your head for 20 mins????) dont waste your money!! thats my 2ps worth

A good bodyshop will be able to replace that strip for you depending how far in the damage is. If you need a bumper I have one that I was going to put up for sale it's an early one though so it has the recessed fogs and indicators dont know weather yours is early or late style give me a shout if your interested!
-
No probs mate I ve ordered mine as well :D as well as a rs bumper I keep seeing things I want to get for my car while I should be saving for the respray andthe pistons DOH oh well I think I'll just have to extend the loan once more LOL :D My bank manager must love me :D

Adjusted the conrast of the pic for ya can see it a little better now :D For the G60 owners out there that have the early style slam panel the 2 tabs you cut off to fit the VR6's are the ones you need to keep to be able to fit it to the early slam panels just thought it's worth mentioning that. Cheers Ant

On my original stg4 charger, jabba chip, 68mm pulleyand powerflow exhaust mine produced 202bhp at the crank but that was on jabba's rollers which have been know to be a bit optimistic :D Until a couple of months ago I had a g werks charger rebuild, sns chip, toothed belt drive system, 3.5 bar fpr, ported and flowed head and it was a hell of alot quicker than it used to be so well over the 200bhp mark

It's ok lads thanks for all the info got onto the guy at motorsport world earlier had it out with him and they are ok with selling the seats to me for the agreed price now. They were only acting on corbeau's behalf. Once I was done with my temper tantrum and they had agreed to sell the frames to me for £115 the guy explained why they wanted to see proof of purchase for the seats, it turns out that corbeau are losing lots of money through selling the subframes to people that have bought immitation Targa seats that are being imported into the UK from overseas so to try and stop them they put the price up to try and discourage people from buying the immitationsand only offer the 50% discountt to people that have bought genuine corbeau seats makes sense really. Well I'm happy at least now that I'm getting the frames for the right price :D
-
I'll phone em up I think as I can kick up a fuss that way! He gave some stupid excuse like corbeau have changed their policies from 1st of dec and that they haven't had time to update the website. I'll get them for £115 mark my words thieving scumbags who's going to pay £230 for a set of subframes at the end of the day LOL
-
I made an online purchase from MSW for some subframes for my new corbeau sets last night, the total came out at £115 inc vat and delivery, I gave all my credit card details and everything and all went through ok. I ve just got home and have an email from them saying that unless I can produce a copy of the seat purchase I cant have the subframes for £115, the new total for the subframes will now be £226 instead what an effing rip off that is!! Surely if they have got them up on the site for £115 they have to sell them for that price dont they under the trading standard laws am I right?? anyone care to comment?? cheers Ant
