  1. Henny what I was getting at was thast he said the bolts on the flywheel were the same as the driveshaft flange I was just using the inner cv flanges as an example just to clear that up!! Right those bolts devnull are M10 spline drives ( or cheese heads) it is a VR6 you have then I thought we were talking about a 16v or g60 thats where the confusion is you hould be able to get an M10 pline drive bit no problem have you got draper over in the states as I know for a fact they do them as I have just bought a 35 piece set that includes splines M6-M10 and hex's and torx drives a very handy piece of kit as you dont know what your going to come across so handy to have!! Part number for the bolts by the way if and when you need to replace them is # 905 398 01
  2. Have a look in the gallery section on the forum and search for cheesy he has some piccies up of the mods needed to fit the headlights need to cut a little out of the wing and a little out of the top of the slam panel!
  3. devnull, Do you mean you need spline bits like the headbolts and the bolts that attatch the inner cv's to the gearbox??? I took my flywheel off last weekend and the bolts that were attatching it were 12 point sockets like all the other guys have already pointed out?? I am slightly confused now as they shouldn't be splines on the flywheel they should be 9mm 12 point sockets as listed on etka!
  4. Looking for 200 notes for the head original cost 600 PM me if interested?
  5. I ordered one for andy linton on this forum ( 16valver) cost a quid (says it all really!!!)when it arrived it was a 10p resistor that you can get from maplins sent it off to him dont know weather he actually fitted it I know I wouldn't have!! best off staying well clear!!!
  6. LOL the nearside one is a ba*tard of a job especially with the battery in the way I usually end taking the whole sodding unit out and doing it off the car! Big hands and small spaces dont mix very well :D

    Cold start

according to my copy of etka the warm up valve is part number 035 133 403G but thst is quite dear maybe worth trying alternative routes like ECP or GSF for a cheaper alternative ECP have it on their website for £56.30 + Vat for genuine item. Hope this helps!!
  8. I cleaned mine out with hyperclean ( comma) and washing powder granules as everyone else says it soaks up and breaks down the oil brilliantly, and then added boiling water left it to soak for an hour and washed it through with hose for 15mins and then left it to dry for a few hours in sunlight!!
  9. Sounding good so far Blown I have a TSR pack a ported and polished head for sale if your interested no cam though as has been sold seperately give me a shout if your interested!!
  10. Wouldn't go near them all they are is a small resistor that you put on the lambda probe I think to fool the ecu to think it's running lean so it just richens up the fuel mixture no timing advance there!!! But what do you expect for under a tenner??? a Panel air filter would work much better and wont risk damaging your engine go and buy one of them instead if you want a lttle more power!
  11. Yup 12 point 9mm took my flywheel bolts off last weekend as for the sockets draper sell a set of the 8mm-19 mm for £8 alot of companies are moving over to the 12 points sockets I wish the bolt manufacturers would move over to making more 12 point bolts as they have so much more grip than the hex bolts do
  12. Heard good reports on the Fk Konig sport coilovers so thats what I'm going to buying in the next couple of months for the beast before it gets back on the tarmac
  13. Behind the pulley should be a 2 flatenned surfaces where you can get a thin adjustable on it and then get a socket on on the main nut and give it some welly an initial impact with a hammer should be enough to undo it!
  14. as what LHD-G60 says with piccie :D Superb looking car!!
  15. Did you get any witnesses stop if so did you get they're names and addresses as if the lorry company decide to muck you about when you go to claim it's your word against theirs and can usually take ages to get a payout. They will probably not want to go therough insurance as trade insurance costs a packet these days my old boss has to pay £88.000 TPFT on his fleet of 17 vans because he has had so many claims he is not allowed to make a claim this year and has to come out of his pocket if a driver crashes!! I would get the lorry firm to pay you the full cost of what you have payed out on your car dont go buy book value as it is usually over a £1k less than they are usually worth try and get as much as you can out of them!!
  16. James when I had my jabba stg 4 everything else standard my quarters were around the 16.5 @ 83mph mark when the chi[p and pulley came the quarters went down to mid to high 15's
  17. best this year was a few weeks ago at santa pod before the crank bolt sheared DOH got a run of 14.7 @ 93mph MODS: Piper BP270 high lift cam, TSR pack a head, ported and flowed charger, toothed belt drive pulley system for charger, 3.5 bar FPR, sns stg 5 chip, JR induction kit in the wing, Full powerflow custom exhaust with de cat pipe
  18. 250bhp now thats just silly now that will blow the f*ck outta your engine :D I'm gonna stick with 50-75 jets at the most dont want to spend all this monmey on the engine to find I blow it up after 2 months!
  19. Not keen on the seats but it looks pretty good to meapart from that but would have to be re painted nugget yellow of course :D
  20. I know James, Corrado VR6n.o.s! What does that mean?[/quote:ae61e] LOL did he get a bit carried awau with the jets?? :D I know the purge kit is usually for dry kits but it looks cool :D Chris have you got a blow down pipe installed leading out of the car??
  21. I'll be there with the crossflow hopefully :D Camping again next year dazzy? nige my mate has just gone to madrid by easyjet tickets cost him £4.50p yes thats right under £5 to goto spain couldn't believe it!!! start saving then :D
  22. I also like the momo fighter and the millenium
  23. not good!!! at least no one was hurt! what did she hit? a bus looking at the damage :D
  24. haha steve I remember that noise from when I fitted my magnex got pissed off with the fitting of it though and dumped it for the powerflow custom exhaust which is bloody loud gonna be even louder when I remove the centre box for a straight through pipe :D powerflow dont whistle after 3k like the magnex I really miss that :(
  25. it's mailto:[email protected] alex I'm sure he'll sort ya out!! Used properly and in moderation it wont blow my bottom end out steve I'm going to get it setup up at the performance bike shop next door to me at work they know they're stuff as they've been fitting and using it for 25 years. I dont know what all the fuss is with nitrous how many people know of someone that has used nitrous in moderate levels ie no more than 40% of standard car performance and blown they're engine up?? with the bottom end being rebuilt in mine with the new pistons and bearing shells and everything being lightened and balanced they're shouldn't be any problem in running 50 shot of nos through it for the duration of the quarter mile which will probably only be 12 secs as will be arming it in second gear as arming it in first gear would be just a little on the pointless side!!
