Its going to be one of yours you plonker!!!! :D I was talking to darren bout it earlier in the week, I'm possibly coming down on Sunday to sort out some chrome bits for me engine bay and to sort out the cooler not sure about running the marine pump though been told about a merc water pump that apperently runs of 12v ( bit cheaper) I'm going to find out a bit more about first though!!

Get out in the rain you big girls blouse!!! what are ya a man or mouse!!! :D LOL

I have no idea what your on about Tom!!!!  I dont think my services will be of much use to G60jet as he's a bit further than just round the corner from me!!!!! :D  Carb cleaner is also a quality degreaser I either buy it in a spray can or in a 5ltr bottle if you put that in neat and left it to soak that would get all the crud out no probs!! You've got me thinking about doing it now!!! but theres not really much point as I should be getting the charge cooler on it this month!!!! Werhay :D

I had the same problem when I first got my G60 all of a sudden one day the no:14 fuse kept blowing everytime I switched on the ignition I eventually traced it down to the wiring for the heated washer jets wiring It was just a live wire that had corroded and was earthing out on the body. I would first have a look at all the wiring to the windows, mirrors, reversing light switch and the heated washer jets to see if there is any obvious signs of a stray or corroded wire which may be earthing out on the body pay extra attention to places like where the wires run from the body into the door you might find that a wire is connecting to the body round that area. Another thing you could try is putting a fuse back in and get a mate or someone to go to the back of the car and switch on the ignition if the the reversing lights come on then the switch for the reversing light is buggered I had this a few years back on my golf gti I replaced the switch and everything was fine again!!! good luck with it anyway hope you sort it soon!!!
-
I would try mixing hot water with a degreaser like gunk or something similar that should break down the oily deposits in it!!!
-
I use Comma Eurolite which is a 10/40 semi synthetic which is the recomended grade for my G60 as I'm in the trade it only costs £7 for 5 litresnow thats cheap!!!!!! :D
-
Thats an interesting point about the ISV reroute I am planning to do the re route as soon as I get my breather catch tank and capping of collars for the boost return I didn't realise that thats where some of my boost could be disapearing to.
-
HI G60 I have the main dealer ETKA parts list on cd rom PM me or email me and I will sort you out a copy!!!
-
How about going along the lines of dubsports creations and create a C with 2 G60 lumps one up front and one in the rear completely stripped out (rally styleee) it would go like stink!!!! :D
-
where did you get your charger serviced to stg 4 steve as like g60gaz I got mine serviced at jabba and had the chip and pulley fitted at the same time with all the other mods I ve done on the car i had it rolling roaded at 202bhp and the boost gauge only ever goes upto a maximum of 12psi which I was told was normal for stg4 with 68mm pulley.
-
Am I losing it or something because I'm sure there were more post than this last week!!!!!
-
If you pay for me petrol then we can have the meet in Chester Dazzy!!!
-
I live over 200 miles away from jabba and had my chip, pulley and stg 4 done there wasn't a problem at all but iI ve since found that it's been running rich ever since, but I ve sorted it myself. I will be getting my charger serviced and all the other bits done at PD Motorsport as they are closer to me and seem to be very good at what they do. Darren and John seem to be great lads and are always keen to help so I have full confidence in them. If this dont make much sense it's because Ive had a skinfull tonight being Christmas and all that!!! hey hey Merrry Bloody Christmas Chaps catch you laters
-
Yeah try that first might save you alot of agro in the long run they only cost a few quid so get it done and see what happens if it works and cures it, it hasn't cost you the world!!! If it dont solve the problem then you can start looking at other alternatives!!!
-
When you switch on the ignition can you physically hear the fuel pump whine for a couple of seconds if you can then the fuel pump should be working properly!! Try the filter it only costs a few quid and if you dont know when it was last done then it's probably worth changing anyway!!!
-
Sounds like a fuel problem to me have you tried changing the fuel filter that might help!!!
-
Yeah stop whinging Tom what you do is catch the ferry to livepool then it's only a 3 hour drive to buckmoor from there!!!! See it's easy!!! :) :)

Hi Guys Just wondering weather any of you guys would be interested in having a go karting day out at buckmoor park go karting track in the New Year. If you are interested it will be about £50- £60 for the day with karts that do upto 120mph which is bl**dy fast when your only an inch off the ground. I was thinking of holding this event at the end of Jan or sometime in Feb. It would only be worth doing if ten or more of you signed up for it, so if your interested stick a reply to thread and let me know. Cheers Guy's and Merry bl**ody Christmas!!!!!

It wll almost definately be an air lock in your matrix so it wont be getting any water running through it you can either try bleeding the whole syste or justtry and fill it up by the hose that goes through the bulk head once thats filled up run the car with the expansion tank cap off until the fan cuts in and wait for any bubbles to dissapear then refill if need be if it gets low. Try that if that doesn't cure it then I dont know!!
-
not really as Tom's (VR6) already said if there isn't proper circulation there will be a build up of heat in the engine which wont be cooling the oil as well either!! Hence a higher oil temp than normal!!
-
Is it a G60 as that is a normal oil temp!! The fan blowing cold air probably means you have an air lock in your heater matrix somewhere so no hot water is passing through it. Try disconnecting the hose that runs through the bulk head and fill it up that way and then reconnect it, then take the expansion tank cap off and run the car until the fan cuts in this should give it a chance to get any bubbles in the system a chance to escap
